Sounds hypocrite to me. You're on a christian forum, so one would gather that contraception is anti-christ. One would look in the Gospel and search for the
commandment or de doctrine not to use CS: but we find no such a thing, and so it is allowed!
If you rather have your dauchter coming home with a big belly, well, that's fine!
Have a nice day.

- Jesus taught those who follow him only to Preach what he taught them - for they can never Teach you.

- Killing: the authorized (by God) putting to death of a creature
- Judging: In Christianity, the prohibited 'judging' is to execute a penalty upon another as retribution for their sins.

The deception is what I don't approve of to begin with, then that fact the schools even being allowed to give out contraceptives is another issue. Whoever gives out the CS, should be charged with stiff penalties to anyone under the age of 18!

<quoted text>So you would punish both your daughter and grandchild...?
What if she was married and they were struggling in these hard times - would you not "fork over" any money to help them? Maybe let them move in for a bit...?
I guess youve never made any mistakes...I guess you were the ideal child, your parents never had to "fork over" for any of your mistakes...?
If my daughter is married before she has children, I will be happy to help out anytime they fall on hard times. I know too well what that is like.

So marriage is the factor? The ritual over the blood? Do you realize the hard-line you seem to be defending? That if your daughter makes a mistake in your eyes, she's disowned along with the bastard child. But some random ritual and license purchasing is the hinge pin for her to remain in YOUR good graces and benevolence?

Hm...where have we heard this sort of rhetoric before? I think I read about this guy in a book...a book...hmmm?

Its all this Stiff talk that gets these kids in trouble in the first place...and you want Stiff penalties. "Oh yes, Daddy Cimlas, it is sooooo stiff."

The kids screw up, an answer for some is provided, and instead of discussing the pros and cons - everyone coming out with their Perfect American Family stories, where everyone talks and has a buddy to talk to - when sooooo many kids do not have that! Are living at risk. Food, risk, shelter risk, personal sexual safety risk - and the leap is to persecute the Schools and toss daughters out of homes.

What a great country.

If your daughter is in high school and hasn't had at least oral sex she's the only one on the block.

Kind of weird. The Gospel today was Job's lamenting the fact that he was ever born.(Chapter 3) The archdiocese on-line readings leave out the line where he wished he had been aborted before he was born but the actual reading in the Evangelium included it.

He's not your buddy and he's not running around worshipping the Bible and telling everyone they're going to hell.

Why just yesterday you agreed that there's not enough love in the forum but already you set I fine example of fanning the flames of hate.

God bless Madscot.

Oops, obviously not the Gospel, one of the readings that precede the Gospel.

Believing that there is a life after this life isn't such a stupid idea, hey you can have it too.
Actually it is a pretty stupid idea but at least you won't be disappointed on account of you'll be dead.

the essence of Christianity, as I understand it, is following Jesus in the sense of practicing His principles of love and justice. This, I believe, Mother Teresa, did throughout her life. She did not promote religious indifference, but rather the love of all people, which is in fact the message of Jesus.

sorry, double post.

Agreed. It would take a particularly cold person to disown their child and grandchild. I don't think CIMLAS has it in him to be that hard-hearted. He talks tough, but he's a softy deep down.

I agree with this wholeheartedly, even though my definition of God may be different.

Sikhs are cool! I had the pleasure of meeting one, who is a PHD from the UK, a few years ago. I volunteered as his timer and assistant at an NGH conference. I learned a lot from his lecture.
