YOU NEED THE BLOOD covered over your sins to GET INTO HEAVEN.
You need to CONFESS with your mouth and BELIEVE in your heart THAT JESUS WAS RAISED from the DEAD in order to be SAVED.
They are NOT 3 different things they are REQUIREMENTS in order to enter heaven without them YOU CANNOT be saved.

The Blood
Confess
Believe

Without these 3 you nor anyone else will NOT enter heaven because Jesus tells us THIS IS HOW WE ARE SAVED. Through the Blood, Confessing our Sins and then believing he died on the cross.

".... WITHOUT the blood there is NO remission of sins.
"....WITHOUT the blood of Jesus YOU CANNOT enter heaven.
Romans 10:9
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
The Remission of Sins, Being Saved, and Being born-again in Spirit in order to see the Kingdom of God are THREE DIFFERENT THINGS, NOT ONE SAME THING. You're using them interchangably, as if they're synonymous.
What's more, NONE of the three means TO ENTER HEAVEN, either!

He died for ALL sin past, present and future sins. If he died only for Original sin then that means he only died for ADAM AND EVE who committed the original sin. Jesus died for ALL sin.

The Bible says:

We are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest stands daily ministering and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But this man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever [past, present and future] sat down at the right hand of God .... For by one offering has He perfected forever those who are being sanctified. Hebrews 10:10-12, 14

I was taught that Jesus sacrificed His life for the remission of ORIGINAL sin. Why do these fringe fundies think just believing in Jesus negates ALL their sins in this life? I just don't get it.

I know what the Holy Spirit is. The Holy Spirit according to the Bible is our teacher, our comforter, someone who comes along side of. Maybe you should learn and stop trying to teach me something I been studing for years.

Here is your post from the "Christianity & Marijuana" thread.

Post #3:

"The Bible says the body is the TEMPLE of the Holy Spirit and so why would you put something in it that can cause problems later like cancer? Smoking harms the body."

How do you reconcile your above statement with your statement in post #3?

Is the Holy Spirit within your body, or is it "along side"?

Here's a hint. The Holy Spirit is not a "someone".

you do NOT understand the HOLY SPIRIT cause if you did you would know BOTH things I said are truth. The Holy Spirit resides within the BELIEVER. It is a spiritual thing and YES the Holy Spirit is a person and it can be quenched as the Bible says.

1. Are you the holy spirit?

2. Do you have more than one person inside of you?

3. You're insane

I know the sin was passed on YOU were the one saying that it was NOT. I believe Jesus died for ALL sin whether we committed it last week last year or end up committing it next week. Jesus said CONFESS your sins and you will be forgiven.

it is you that does NOT understand. I do understand who the HOLY SPIRIT is. It is our teacher, our comforter one who comes along side of us in our Christian walk. Ya, and please do NOT bother to think you know more than me about the Bible when you are NOT even a believer and do NOT understand it.
I do UNDERSTAND that you are not someone who can teach me and nor will I let you teach me since you are merely a person who goes against the CHRISTIAN beliefs.

This is a generalised comment and a reminder to all. But on topix its not always safe to deal with trolls or others who go out to upset. Some people unfortunately do not necessarily feel remorse and they are not bound by the normal rules of decency. This is largely an unmoderated forum.

I agree. There are even people who deliberately misrepresent the world-views of others in order to apply false arguments against them.

1) No, I did NOT say Original Sin was NOT passed on. YOU said Original Sin was not passed on, remember your post #89 on this very same thread?

"ticked

So, you've argued for and against. Which is it?

"Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned---" (Romans 5:12)
"'No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the prophets, "And they shall all be taught by God." Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.'"(John 6:44-45)
So, if someone really hears from God and learns from the Father, the person "comes to" Jesus.
"'For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.'" (John 3:16-18)
So, Jesus did not come to condemn us, but we already were condemned because of our own sin. "So, anyone without Jesus is in condemnation of one's own sin." Sin has infected everyone, starting from Adam and Eve, as the above quote of Romans shows.
So, we need how God changes people "from the power of Satan to God" (in Acts 26:18). People in slavery to sin are being dragged around by desires for treasure pleasures, instead of enjoying God in His love > "Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us." (Romans 5:5) So, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of our Father's own love being shared with us "in our hearts". This is how personal God is with us, right "in our hearts".
"But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him." (1 Corinthians 6:17) This is how personal we are with our Heavenly Father if we have been turned "from the power of Satan to God". We are "one spirit with" God, in His own love. To be "one spirit" is much more intimate than to be only one flesh.
"Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you." (James 4:7)

Yes it is the same thing. How can it NOT be the same thing? If someone denied your existence then they do NOT believe you existed. Jesus said IF YOU deny before men then he will deny you before the FATHER
What does the word deny mean? Deny means NOT to believe. It can also mean you refuse to ACCEPT.
Definition from the Dictionary says
[verb] refuse to accept or believe; "He denied his fatal illness"
<quoted text>
That makes no sense.
Would you deny my existence if you KNEW I existed?
Would you refuse to believe I existed, if you KNEW I did?
No. The context of deny meant by scripture in "to deny the Lord", is to deny what you KNOW is true.
