I saw this on another forum yesterday, so I will copy the post and ask the same question here.

Christian Sex--- jokingly defined as 2 Christians that are dating and fooling around and do everything but penetration and afterwards say they are a good Christian because they didn't have sex.

Many people I know will fool around naked and perform oral tasks and say they were good because they didn't have Sex and encourage other Christians to fool around like that as well as long as no penetration is involved.

So at what point does "Christian Sex" become fornication or sexual immorality? French Kissing, Groping, Sexting, Oral?

I know many churches will not discuss issue like this or anything to do with sex even though many of their single members do the activities above all the time.

Christians should have better things to do than fight with God. God is patient and loving but it is alleged he knows what you're thinking.

That said, it's a small church and I know many of the congregation so I can usually tell who's singing behind me by the sound of their voice and who's singing in front of me by the shape of their butt. If I start to think that butt is any business of mine I'll have to go to confession.

God bless you.

So if you had a young adult at your church tell you they are doing X, Y,Z, but they are not going all the way. Do you tell them good job or to stop playing on thin ice before they slip up.

A young person is not going to tell me they're doing XYZ so the point is moot.

You appear to be obsessed with sex. Especially when it involves other people and excludes you.

Who made you the sex monitor ? BTW, do you make a habit of asking young people about their sex lives?

What a over sensitive bunch of pu$$y$ some of you are. You can rip each other to shreds about any issue in the bible, but real life issues like sex issues is too much for you.

Did I touch a ground that many Christians struggle with but refuse to admit. So would all of you be okay with your daughter orally pleasing her boyfriend and afterwards say she is a good christian and a virgin, because she isnt having sex.

The point is Christianity preaches fornication and if you have sex before marriage you are going to hell, but completely ignores most who will do everything but go all the way, yet say they are not having sex.

Christians preaches against fornication but there are always some of them who are often caught in adultery.

P.S. I don't have a daughter.

Not according to the three-legged, one eye frog. He says otherwise...we've talked about this and many other things. He's really very wise...for a disabled frog...

Humans have been wrangling new ways to excuse their sexual habits for as long as Humans decided to make it a morality issue.

So to your Original point. The current generations, the younger ones, have decided that they can break down all sexual activities into categories - and define non-penetration sexual activities as outside the normal moral boundaries and normal definitions of sex.

Its a good game, but its a stupid one. Sexual activity is sexual activity...while intercourse is the BIG no-no, and is the one that runs the most risk of pregnancy, its all still sexual activity. That can result in all the same consequences...STD's, pregnancy, personal shame, abuse, risky behaviors, etc, etc...

Under a Religious system, in this case Xtianity, all sexual contact outside of marriage is immoral. Be it oral sex, a hand-job, anal, or old fashion copulation. Its still sexual contact. and with it comes all the usual morality and ethics.

As a parent of two teens, one pre-teen, we have made it clear that sex is sex, and that even if their friends say its not real-sex, they are only looking for excuses. I like this analogy. As an unlicensed teen I would "borrow" my sister's car (little Datsun B210, 4 spd) and drive it around the neighborhood at night when she wasnt home. She was never the wiser (gas was cheap and she never checked the mileage) and My reasoning was its not really driving, I'm not going anywhere, etc...this went on for a several weeks...

Then I got stuck, in a sewer excavation trench. Guess what? It was driving, and thats how my parents, sister and the Cops treated it. I was an unlicensed driver, period. Thankfully in those days cops would look the other way as long as they knew the old man was gonna take care of me. And he did.

Same goes with sex. Oral sex might not be REAL SEX by current definitions - but its like my driving scam...somethings gonna go wrong sooner or later.

While the wife and I know we cant stop them from having sex, all we keep pushing for is SAFETY, always safety, always take it seriously, never let someone else make decisions for you, and NO! means NO!(one reason I've taught my 13 yo daughter how to fight, and she's real good at it!)

The same goes with any risky behavior. Drinking is another. If youre gonna drink I tell my oldest teen, 17, never let anyone else pour you a drink, get your own, and never, never, never take a ride from a drinking friend, or a stranger. I will gladly go get them, or send/pay for a cab.

So far so good. Prepare them for the worst, and hopefully they will only deal with the not-so-bads.

But I know from experience that many parents are too squeamish for sexual talk/discussion...among many other things. I know this because I've heard from my kids about their friends, as well as from a few of their friends...and from the parents themselves. Its 2013 and still parents are not talking openly and honestly to their children - despite the fact that I know all of us as teens, etc, have said, "I'm gonna talk to my kids about everything!"

Too bad few of us ever live up to that commitment. So kids still go off relying on urban legend and tales from their friends, etc, about sex, drugs, drinking, etc...

If you can catch a STD from it, its pretty much considered sex no matter how far you go or didn't go.

Sin begins as desire in the heart; then your mind begins dwelling on the sin, fantasizing and verbalizing about the sin;
once that happens the physical act of sinning is not far behind.

You are at stage two pal.
Time to go and meet the Lord in a good confession and pray for pure thoughts.
