Besides all the errors and contradictions in the Bible, there are also a great number of Bible verses that are utterly ridiculous. A ridiculous Bible means a ridiculous God if you take the literal and infallible view. The following verses are some of the most ridiculous verses I know of.

Ridiculous Bible verses concerning women

Women are inferior to men: "A man is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man." (1 Cor. 11:7)

Women are weaker than men: "Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner" (1 Peter 3:7)

Women should be silent in church: "As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches." (1 Cor. 14:34)

Women must not have authority over men: "I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man." (1 Tim. 2:12-14)

Women are saved through bearing children: "But women will be saved through childbearing." (1 Tim. 2:15)

Women must cut their hair off if they don't cover it: "If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off." (1 Cor. 11:6)

It should be obvious to anyone that Paul is not expressing God's view of women. Paul is obviously expressing his own bizarre bias against women. The men who wrote the Bible often reflected a degrading view of women, homosexuals, slaves, and Jews among others. If these views actually represent the views of God, then this falsely makes God a bigot and a respecter of persons. For this reason, an infallible Bible cannot be true.

U said at 1st..

"Man was made in Gods image and therefore reflects Gods image."

---- Do u still believe god has a image and mans were made with that image. If so, sorry 2 disappoint u -- It is totally a paganic belief who try 2 define god with a certain image.

N according 2 the modern genetics man during the start time was much different than that of 2 day. So it is naive 2 say god created man with his image.

This is 1 of the biggest contradiction of bible.

n 4 yr womens part

"Woman was made from man and therefore reflects mans image. Its not about being inferior, but about the reflection we give."

R u naive or u r a literate fool who deliberately
try 2 belief that WOMAN WERE CREATED FROM MAN'S RIBS.

In modern medical science if u say so medical professional will say u a mental patient or a ignorant who dnt have any idea abt science.

4 yr remarks regarding womens being silent in the church

"Women being silent in the church I believe goes back to when the men and women had to sit in dofferent parts of the church and women used to call over to their husbands."

Who said so womens were said 2 remain silent cause they used 2 call their husband. If this was so it would have been written so.

Here ye bible verse is clear... like water. Womens
r said 2 remain silent cause they were portrayed as a problem. N womens were asked 2 ask any question 2 her husband at home.

This verse totally refute yr claim -the reason which u have shown ova here.

If man can ask question at church than y women will have 2 ask it 2 his husband at home? does not it mean that they r subclass.

Ur view regards Womens rule towards man is as below

"Paul taught that women should not rule over men was most likely again because man was created first and woman was given to him as a helper, not the other way around."

I can not stop laughins seeing yr lame excuse.

U have ignored the fact that here it also talked about not 2 teach anything .So i guess all the female teacher is breaking the bible law when they teach mans in school or uni.

N regarding authority !!!! u said wats wrong with that-- wat a lame excuse.

If a mother wants 2 say something with authority it is also wrong ovar here as womens r subclass in the bible.

Same goes also for a elder sisters advise with authority 2 her younger brother n same goes for wife with husband.

If a husband do any wrong thing its wrong in bible 4 a wife 2 speak against it as she is a property or subclass of men.

n the main reason here for womens remain silent is given by paul as below

I Timothy 2:11-14

"And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression."

Here womens r portrayed as deceiver.

I just like 2 finish with the following 2 bible verses which clearly describe what is the status of women in christianity.

"...if a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days...but if she bear a maid child, then she shall be unclean two weeks..."
Leviticus 12:2-5

"I find more bitter than death the woman who is a snare, whose heart is a trap and whose hands are chains. The man who pleases God will escape her, but the sinner she will ensnare."

Ecclesiastes 7:26-28

All the christian women do u still think christianity is a religion 4 the women or women r not a subclass of man !!!

Make a choice the choice is yours!!!!

Oh Bible Rottenness unveiled...

You forgot to mention all the verses where women are unclean.
How women should be in a tent during menstruation and not speak to men.
How women are unclean after childbirth, oh also a verse states that women are not saved until they birth a child.

If people want to put so much emphasis on the bible than we can just take away women's rights. Rights women have fought for, for many years.

How about the clothes you wear? Are they mixed fiber? Cause that's not okay!!

People take these verses and interpret them to fit their lives and ignore others that do not benifit them at all.

If you say the Bible is the way you should be living, than put on your linen clothe and stand behind your man as you walk in public sit in the back of the church in silence and build yourself a tent for your mentstration cycle and don't even think about coming out till you're done.

If you say that the Bible is just a good guideline to go by as far as loving others and not doing wrong as far as killing, stealing, obeying the laws of the land. Then live and let live people!!!

Thanks Christians in this forum for demonstrating the biblical true ethics!

Thanks for demonstrating to us how much you do NOT trust your Bible and how much you do not obey your biblical Jesus as he orders you in your own bible:

Jesus said:
"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;" [Matthew 5:44](KJV)

"Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God." [1 Corinthians 6:10](KJV)

Then do not wonder why people in large masses are leaving the hypocritical christianity and never look back!

The pagan Chritianity IS DYING!

r u a naive !!!!

n dnt try 2 twist the real word of yr myth maker paul with another 1 .

lets look at the verse again !!!

Women must cut their hair off if they don't cover it: "For if a woman will not cover her head, she should cut off her hair. But if it is disgraceful for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, she should cover her head." (1 Cor. 11:6)

Here it is clear that yr myth maker paul is talking about 2 cover their hair with some object. If it would have been meant for other than any object or about long hair , he would not prescribe u 2 cut women's hair.

So yr no. 14 verse is either a contradiction or some 1 later tried 2 alter the text 2 immune the women from wearing scruff.

But still if u look at any nuns ,u will not find any 1 who dnt wear any scruff.

Same sort of contradiction or alteration of text accrued in (1 Cor. 11:8-9 & 1 Cor. 11:12)

11:8 FOR MAN DID NOT COME FROM WOMAN, but woman from man. 11:9 Neither was man created for the sake of woman, but woman for man.

11:12 For just as woman came from man, so MAN COMES THROUGH WOMAN.

This is clear from the above 3 verse it was a contradiction or some 1 later altered the text 2 look it lil bit favorable 2 woman as yr myth maker paul n yr bible god was totally brutal n harsh towards woman.

This is just a tips of the iceberg of contradiction in the bible. If any1 starts 2 speak about error n contradiction of the bible ,there will be no end.

N dnt try not 2 have any authority over man n teach them as yr myth maker paul n yr holy spirit did not permit u 2 do so.

Women must not have authority over men: "I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man." (1 Tim. 2:12-14)

So woman just keep quite.

N try 2 give a close look at yr corrupt bible , which is full of error n contradiction. N make a judgment on that whether it is worthy 2 believe which has that much error n contradiction n which is that much brutal towards women.

You have to read this website, it turns the Bible such that you see it in a new light and all of these degrading controversial subjects become clear.

you have to scroll down the Example 2: Discussion on Women in the Church.

Women are inferior to men: "A man is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man." (1 Cor. 11:7)
You have cut out the first part of the verse.
He actually writes about a man not covering his head when he prays or prophesies. Then the rest of the verses explains why, and that's where the meaning of that sentence comes into play.
It's about order and reverence, not about value or inferiority.
Read what he writes in Gal.3:
26You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus,
27for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
28There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, MALE NOR FEMALE, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Women are weaker than men: "Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner" (1 Peter 3:7)
Yes, It's obvious that woman er weaker than men physically, and I personally think it's obvious that they in general are not as well equipped to be strong leaders, which in my eyes is a good thing, not a bad thing, as long they actually embrace their own calling instead of rebelling against the order that God has created. Most women are actually attracted to strong men, who are willing and able to take a stand where they cannot.
It's not about male chauvinism, it's about the order and calling that God has created us for.
Women should be silent in church: "As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches." (1 Cor. 14:34)
Again... it's about submitting to God's chosen order and a person's calling. It's not about inferiority or women not having anything to contribute with. We all have the same Spirit living in us, male or female, but we are equipped with different gifts and callings, and we should be thankful for and obedient to those as such, instead of rebelling against them by going:
"I don't like the way God thinks, I want to do this, so I'll do it."
Women must not have authority over men: "I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man." (1 Tim. 2:12-14)
As we see in the context, this is still talking about the Church and how things should be within the Church or the service.
The real translation also says:
12But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over THE man, but to be in silence.
There is actually a major difference between "a man" and "the man".

Another interesting thing is the way Paul explains these things in the following verse.
13For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
These things are in other words vital for our understanding of the order of these things.
And the verse about the childbearing is also just following this explanation, so it's easier to understand the meaning behind it.
It doesn't talk about women actually being SAVED in the normal sense, through childbearing. If that were so, then Jesus didn't die for women; they cold only get a baby, and they are good to go.
And poor those women who couldn't have children, they were going to hell. I think you see how obvious it is that it's not talking about this kind of salvation, as the one we receive by faith in Christ sacrifice on the cross.
I actually think it talks about getting healthy through a child birth.
You also cut out the rest of the verse, explaining how there are conditions to this promise.
15Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, IF they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
Another thought...
Why does the Bible say: Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
And then later, Jesus says: "Not everyone who calls upon me as Lord shall enter the Kingdom of heaven?"
I think it's obvious that there is a distinction here.
Women must cut their hair off if they don't cover it: "If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off." (1 Cor. 11:6)
Well, it's there.
I think it's dangerous to regard Paul's letter as anything less than the Word of God. Don't look at it as "Paul's opinion" unless he specifically says so. Or else you'll end up in a loop of not knowing what God says and what Paul says. Gain the attitude of believing and receiving every word in the Bible as the Word of God. It's when I did that, that things really started to open up to me. Not because I understood everything (I didn't understand much at all), but because I made a decision to not let my own understanding define what was true or not.
And I believe that's the attitude we're gonna need to have, if we're going to learn more about these things, as we obviously need to.:)

hahahaha anonymous u r really interesting. But ur comment is really interesting .I guess that will help the pagan christian believer 2 understand that bible is not word of god but its a myth making fantasy of paul.

Um working on it 2 make these pagan christians believe that bible is not word of god as it contains thousands of error, contradiction, failed prophecy, cruelty with logic n step by step.

I guess many of the pagan christian cults those who r here already knew it.

But u knw religion n christianity is a business 2 them 2 rip off the pocket of innocent believerssaying lots of crap from the bible .

John 4
21Jesus declared, "Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."

25The woman said, "I know that Messiah" (called Christ) "is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us."

26Then Jesus declared, "I who speak to you am he."

27Just then his disciples returned and were surprised to find him talking with a woman. But no one asked, "What do you want?" or "Why are you talking with her?"

proverbs 31;10 [c] A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.

11 Her husband has full confidence in her
and lacks nothing of value.

12 She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.

13 She selects wool and flax
and works with eager hands.

14 She is like the merchant ships,
bringing her food from afar.

15 She gets up while it is still dark;
she provides food for her family
and portions for her servant girls.

16 She considers a field and buys it;
out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.

17 She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.

18 She sees that her trading is profitable,
and her lamp does not go out at night.

19 In her hand she holds the distaff
and grasps the spindle with her fingers.

20 She opens her arms to the poor
and extends her hands to the needy.

21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
for all of them are clothed in scarlet.

22 She makes coverings for her bed;
she is clothed in fine linen and purple.

23 Her husband is respected at the city gate,
where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.

24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
and supplies the merchants with sashes.

25 She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.

26 She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

27 She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.

28 Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:

29 "Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all."

30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

31 Give her the reward she has earned,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

Did they bother to teach you how to spell? Maybe you would be taken more seriously if you used spell checker.

All religions are full of contradictions.

Let me give you the Cliff Notes on Christianity;

After you accept Jesus into your life and ask him to forgive you of your sins, then you need to follow the 10 commandments and get back to loving and forgiving everyone and helping the needy.

Leave the judging and finger pointing to God.
