Nothing is lost, and nothing misleading. The worldly always want to "add to" or "subtract from" or "change" the holy word of God into lie. Stay with the Holy Bible, and reject all lies.
Unbelievable how ignorant and you and some others are about the history of how the bible got put together into one book.

FYI:

Daniel Wallace is a noted Greek scholar and professor of New Testament at Dallas Theological Seminary. In his paper entitled “Why So Many Versions?” Wallace makes the following statement -“...we must remember that the King James Bible of today is not the King James of 1611. It has undergone three revisions, incorporating more than 100,000 changes!”

Oops, looks like it's already been turned into a book of lies.

I guess it isn't the "Word" of your "god" after all. Just the corrupted "Word" of MAN.

Study. When you check out the "seemingly" contradictions you will find that there is no contradictions. When a person reads sippets of verses out of context, or when a mistranslation from the actual Hebrew or Greek word into English was used then you will find the truth. I translate the scriptures and one of the common mistakes that the first English translators made is they applied the wrong English word to the Hebrew or Greek word- they took a Hebrew or Greek word and translated it into one word and used that one word in almost every instance that it was written in the scripture, but that is not accurate translating. For just as one word may have more than one meaning or definition (depending on the context the word is used in), so too one Hebrew or Greek word has more than one definition. So when you come across what seems to be a contradiction, first you should consider the context (read at least 5 verses before and 5 verses after the verse which appears to be a contradiction), then if you still think it is contrary, then look up the Greek or Hebrew definitions to that word and you should find that it is not a contradiction, but probably a mistranslated or inaccurate translated word into English.
So it's a corrupted "Word" of your "god", got it!

Text books often get revised based on new peer reviewed evidence. Thus they can become more accurate with time.

Religious books just fall apart the more you study them. Just put your little god book on the fiction shelf and move on.

You recommend I stop cancer charity work because you doubt I know the bible?

You just jumped the shark.

I first stumbled across this forum because cu*ts like you were lying about Evolution. Then I found a lot of you are anti gay as well. So I decided to stay.

My belief is that people like you supported a racially segregated America. You couldn't get away with that now. You will always lose in the end.

If your god is good, it will recognise all of that.

Well first of all this is just dumb. Not everyone can or cares or will learn ancient Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, etc...

Second, you just erased a few thousand of years of Xtian doctrine...along with the millions of the believers and their faith.

You cant do that!

But here's something we can all do and its regarding context. We can all recognize that all of the bible is and was written by people who were overwhelmed by their superstitions and as such came up with all sorts of silly and ridiculous ways to quell them. They also came up with all sorts of ways to ease their anxieties about Life and death and it involved the imaginary place called Heaven. Where the streets are paved in gold and the buildings encrusted with jewels. Its a place where all the good folks go and live in the lap of luxury and don't suffer from the pains of the flesh.

That much we can do and as such dismiss all the magic and supernatural BS as made-up fantasy that is worthless to us now, and that belief in any of that silly, imaginary stuff wont make anyone a better person or save them from themselves.

Yes context is critical and as such it means we need to drop all the old stuff that is stupid and made up out of the minds of scared, ignorant humans who saw demons lurking in the dark and in every corner! All of which remains totally unproven in any shape or form.
