You're being dishonest.
I never implied 'several millenniums', I wrote millennia.
The years are closer to two thousand than a thousand.
What?
You've never rounded figures to the next higher on your income tax?
Be honest now.
Never! I put down the exact numbers straight off the forms, receipts, etc. I own a business and play it by the book. Have to...was audited when I was younger and starting out, didn't go my way...

And...uh...no! millennium is 1K years, not 2.

millennia - plural - millennium - singular.

mille in Latin is 1K. Always has been...

I mistyped, the first millennia should'a been millennium...my bad.

And millennia can refer to two thousand years, as in 'a couple of thousand'.
I stand correct, as usual.

If it's any comfort, the IRS tells you in their instructions to round dollars when filing.

But then again, with this current regime, they'll use any excuse for auditing and intimidation.
"We're from the IRS and we're here to help. And now we're heavily armed!"
"May we come in?"

Talk about an offer you can't refuse.....

I understand what you are trying to say, but Jesus Christ has not 'returned' from Heaven....YET.

Jesus Christ was crucified, suffered death and was buried, on the third day he rose again in fulfillment of the scriptures.

After walking, talking and eating with the apostles and disciples, he ascended into Heaven, fifty days later.
Thus the term Pentecost.
'Pente' being the Latin word meaning fifty.

Peace be with you.

If he's been to Heaven and back, then where is he hiding on earth?

And what you keep blocking out, is that a "god" cannot die. So he could not have died for anyone's "sins".

Fundamentalist Christians always believe that their particular variety of Christianity is the only true Christianity and that it goes back directly to the teachings of Jesus and the apostles. The history of Christianity shows that there have been conflicting views of the teachings of Jesus since the very beginning. The Bible describes the apostles arguing among themselves and the dispute between Peter and Paul.

The first Christians were all observant Jews until the teachings of Paul made them into “Judaiszers” and they were forced out of the early Christian community. The Gnostics claimed a very mystical connection with the teachings of Jesus but were denounced by organized Christians such as the Greek Bishop Irenaeus. There were also Arians, Sabellians, Docetists, etc. It wasn’t until Christianity became the official religion of the Holy Roman Empire that there was any unity of belief.

“Christianity, or one would rather say "Christianities," of the second and third centuries were a highly variegated phenomenon. We really can't imagine Christianity as a unified coherent religious movement.”- Holland Lee Hendrix, President of the Faculty Union Theological Seminary

Christ? Thats not a name, but a title, I cant live like an anointed one, or a messiah. Why would I want to?

Anyway...I do lead by example. I live way more morally and ethically than most Xtians. Mainly because I'm not doing it out of fear of punishment - but because its the right thing/s to do...not because I'm a'feared I wont get in the Great Night Club in the sky...

A lot of Christians think that Jesus was the son of Mary and Joseph Christ.

That's why I always get a laugh when they try to "prove" Jesus was a descendant of Adam & Eve by showing some imaginary lineage from them to Mary or Joseph. And they claim it proves Jesus is either the "son" of God, or "god" depending upon which lie they favor.

They just don't comprehend the stupidity of it. Not getting it, that their "god" supposedly impregnated Mary, making any such "lineage" totally meaningless.

Just watched National Geographic's "The Lost Gospel of Judas" and it was fascinating. Too bad that Bishop Irenaeus tried to have more than 30 gospels destroyed due to ego and anger towards his Christan oppositions, but he couldn't get them all destroy. Only 4 gospels were chosen to end up in the NT, misleading from the whole story.
Nothing is lost, and nothing misleading. The worldly always want to "add to" or "subtract from" or "change" the holy word of God into lie. Stay with the Holy Bible, and reject all lies.

How do you suggest people deal with the contradictions in the bible?

Study. When you check out the "seemingly" contradictions you will find that there is no contradictions. When a person reads sippets of verses out of context, or when a mistranslation from the actual Hebrew or Greek word into English was used then you will find the truth. I translate the scriptures and one of the common mistakes that the first English translators made is they applied the wrong English word to the Hebrew or Greek word- they took a Hebrew or Greek word and translated it into one word and used that one word in almost every instance that it was written in the scripture, but that is not accurate translating. For just as one word may have more than one meaning or definition (depending on the context the word is used in), so too one Hebrew or Greek word has more than one definition. So when you come across what seems to be a contradiction, first you should consider the context (read at least 5 verses before and 5 verses after the verse which appears to be a contradiction), then if you still think it is contrary, then look up the Greek or Hebrew definitions to that word and you should find that it is not a contradiction, but probably a mistranslated or inaccurate translated word into English.
