Jesus said on luck 21 20:
"When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that it's desolation is near"
Looking at the current situation,Israel is surrounded by enemies Lebanon/Hezbollah,Syria(Russia is also sending warships),and soon Muslim brotherhood,an anti-Israel party will likely be elected as president

What armies???

And get up to date on current events. Syria is no position to invade anyone. And Lebanese Armed forces are not up to such things either...an excursion or two, sure - but a protracted invasion..? Hardly.

Get a grip on reality. No one is invading Israel.

I have read that Israel is not only now a well armed nation, but, of course, has many allies.

The Arabs are saber rattles. They are not going to invade anyone anymore after Saddam's debacle in Kuwait.(not without an ample supply of consistently working nuclear weapons) They prefer terrorism over direct confrontation. They prefer to support allegedly non-State sanctioned "Enterprises" over direct State to State confrontations.

While I most definitely am NOT a fan of Israel, and most of its supposedly Republic Democratic policies when it comes to its minorities and land grabs - they are the best armed, trained and tenacious Military in the region and the Arabs know it. Their aggressive response under any real outside incursions would make our Iraqi "shock and awe" tactics look like the 4th of July at a drunken Uncle's...

What most bugs me about these sorts of threads, brought up by Xtians like #1 and #2 above - is that the very thought of these End Times prophecy's coming true ezcites them like nothing else in their lives. Not their partners (whatever the sex) nothing whatsoever in their lives, not even their alleged deep faith in their Lord - excites them as much as the Destruction of Life as we Know it on this planet.

Because we all KNOW they picture it this way. Jesus is up on the mountain top, arms raised, back-lit like in a video, hair blowing in the breeze...and they are there, next to him.

They stand there eagerly seeking out their "enemies" in the crowds below. Their chests beating in watching their Lord smote them all...! The clerk at the gas station who they deem vile because he likes other men. Their neighbor's since their marriage was only a civil ceremony and not in a House of the Lord!

Its their imagined fulfillment of their revenge fantasies that makes them so damn excited.

We have from the other prophets the names of the nations that will come against Israel. They are all Islamic countries at this point.
.
Rome is NOT named as one of those nations, so the prophecies concerning the nations that will attack Israel are not fulfilled.

Well don't keep us in suspense. Name the names of the nations and where they're found in the Bible.

Try to avoid referencing Revelation. Stick to the real prophets.

My son-in law is a high ranking Army officer. He told me, in 2003, that the Army was told the targeted countries were Iraq, Iran and Syria. The reason they were given for invasion and establishing military presence in those countries was to block China.

In the news today, I read Israel and Egypt are starting up, again.

In Libya, it was a matter of denationalizing oil and joining the World Bank.

As for Israel, they've had nuclear weapons since their inception. Unlike Iran, Israel has never signed the nuclear nonproliferation treaty.

So, you guys can make up all the "prophecy" you want. Western powers have an influential hand in what is happening in the Middle East as well as Africa. Remember the false claim of weapons of mass destruction? I wonder how many of you feel remorse and guilt for the hundreds of thousands of innocent Muslim civilians, including children, who have been killed and maimed by the U.S.?

What most Christians don't know is there was a terrible civil war going on before, during and after the time of Jesus. All of these end of the world prophesies are about the Roman destruction of the Temple in 70 A.D.

That is not the only singn of the end of times/days given to us.

Israel has always been surrounded by enemies, so it's a tricky saying. These are not the times.

The end of time Israel shall dwell in peace: the only time in its history! And then comes the final terror!

He reiterated the info., again, in 2009. This is what the military was told, with no mention of Western powers taking over oil production and banking, as well as other resources.

If you don't have any feeling of remorse for all the innocent civilians killed and maimed, I pity your souls. They're human beings, lockied into the circumstances of life within the places in which they were born, just like us.

This is 2012. It looks as though the morality of man has not developed, even though technology is growing by leaps and bounds. This is a very dangerous situation. All you sheeple who think you're so above other human beings have a lot to learn.

Here's a question for all of you warmongering "Christians".

Say the U.S., a sovereign nation, just like all the others, was invaded by another country. Would you fight? You would definitely be called insurgents by the nation that is invading to take us over. Maybe you have a brutal leader who needs to be deposed, but would you stand and fight for the soveriengty of your country, or would you let foreign interests take over your country?
Foreign interests are taking over the U.S., right now, without a shot being fired. Are you aware of this?

Zechariah 12
New International Version (NIV)

Jerusalem’s Enemies to Be Destroyed
12 A prophecy: The word of the Lord concerning Israel.

The Lord, who stretches out the heavens, who lays the foundation of the earth, and who forms the human spirit within a person, declares: 2 “I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. 3 On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves. 4 On that day I will strike every horse with panic and its rider with madness,” declares the Lord.“I will keep a watchful eye over Judah, but I will blind all the horses of the nations. 5 Then the clans of Judah will say in their hearts,‘The people of Jerusalem are strong, because the Lord Almighty is their God.’

6 “On that day I will make the clans of Judah like a firepot in a woodpile, like a flaming torch among sheaves. They will consume all the surrounding peoples right and left, but Jerusalem will remain intact in her place.

7 “The Lord will save the dwellings of Judah first, so that the honor of the house of David and of Jerusalem’s inhabitants may not be greater than that of Judah. 8 On that day the Lord will shield those who live in Jerusalem, so that the feeblest among them will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of the Lord going before them. 9 On that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem.

Just like a true catholic you have no idea what you are saying, you make it up while walking through life. Grow up in the Lord some more before you can talk with the people who knows what they are saying!!
