Are you calling Jesus a liar that you are not to forsake all that you have to be his disciple?

In the first century followers of Jesus often had to face harsh family opposition and persecution and give up possessions. He meant that they had to be WILLING to do this, that's all.

What, exactly, did Jesus say? Do you even know? I doubt it.

I'd believe that the claims of those who gave up their lives for him are very close to the truth.

I'd take the claims of Matthew and John slightly more seriously than the others because they were actual contemporary ear-witness disciples of Jesus and not just reporting what other contemporaries told them.

Thank you JI for this link. It did make me laugh, but in another way it is rather sad. Sad that people can read such unadulterated nonsense and believe every word of it!

It is truly hilarious that even Christians can be highly educated...they just choose to dismiss any shred of intelligence...what I shame. Being religious is pretty much turning a blind eye to the fact that you are even alive....

Christians choose the Christian Faith. Atheists choose the Atheist faith. You lose. The Bible is PROVEN! This is the terminal generation.

The story goes that Noah and his wife,his three sons and their wives were the only humans who survived, but somehow they managed to produce a world population of about 7 billion people.
So does that mean we're all the result of incest sex?

Just to waiver away the probability of Logic by saying "God did it". Is not only irresponsible but extremely ignorant which only reinforces the imagine of Christians who are too lazy to do research its sad when non-believers work harder to refute . I am a strong Christian who believes there is a lot more to life and historical facts than the Bible offers. The Bible is not meant to be basis for all education and history it is a book that encourages us to live the values of Christianity. With that said I find it highly unlikely that Noah's Ark actually happened , does that mean that I am not believer or now I am not going to heaven. NO!. God is always a God of the impossible but he also created us Logical thinking human beings. God does not do things that contradict the laws of nature he implemented. Think about it why would he?

Here's what the Dallas zoo needs every single day.
* A ton of hay
* 35 pounds of fish
* 50 pounds of meat
* 100 stalks of celery
* five pounds of red onions
* 100 pounds of carrots
* 25 pounds of spinach
* 15 pounds of kale
* 10 pounds of mixed vegetables
* 150 pounds of sweet potatoes
* 10 heads of cabbage
* 48 heads of romaine
* 30 ears of corn
* four loaves of wheat bread
* 24 eggs
* a pound of yogurt
* 40 pounds of bananas
* eight pounds of blueberries
* 170 oranges
* 500 apples
* 36 cantaloupes
* four papayas
* 250 rodents (the variety pack)
* 6000 mealworms
* 600 wax worms
* 7500 crickets
Remember, it rained for 40 days/nights, and then they had to wait around for the water to drain away (again, where did it go?) for some more weeks. This list of food is what the Dallas Zoo needs every day. Multiply this by 50 or 60 days... Say that Noah only needed half a ton of hay a day. That's 30 tons of hay for the whole cruise. Exactly where did they keep this? How did they gather it all in advance of the rain? If you gathered 100 pounds of hay every day, it would take you 20 days per ton. So you'd have to do nothing but gather hay for 600 days to get 30 tons together.
Now I'm using logic again here, so I'm sure I've lost you by now, but if it rained for 40 days, enough to cover the highest mountain peaks in the world, please tell me exactly where did all that water go? It would have taken years for it to evaporate or be absorbed into the soil, so where did it disappear to?
And how did the animals get there? How exactly did the wombats and kangaroos get to the middle east from Australia? Did the swim? Did the Polar bears swim tens of thousands of miles to get there?
This is such a ludicrous fairy tale I could sit here all day poking holes in this nonsense, just asking common sense questions. You don't even need science to disprove the Noah's Ark myth, just a brain.
Have you seen ronwyatt.com I think that's the web site address for Ron Wyatt.

Nothing said that all the creatures were mature, so the estimates may be very high. What if the Ark were found? Who'd be the moron then?;-)

And how do you explain the "flood" story in the ancient societies around the world? The account is not limited to the Bible.,.

I'll dare you to read "Case For A Creator" and come to the same conclusion, although the book is not about theology, but it does prove that it takes less faith to believe in the God of the Bible than to be an atheist;-)
