So how old exactly is God? Older than the universe? Same age?
Is God living outside of the universe or within it? Did God create just 1 or many universes?
Is there life on other planets? If so, do aliens speak Hebrew, Latin, English? Do they have the same bible as humans do?
Is our Jesus theirs as well, or does God fly around the universe impregnating virgins?

What did God do before he/she/it created the universe?
Who created God? Does he/she/it have parents?

You are posting in the Christian section of Topix, they are spiritually clueless so have no real answers for you. They will make up a lot of crazy stuff though.

God is eternal and the universe is not. Was not created and did not have parents. Don't know about aliens or anything like that.

Using fundie Christian logic - their deity has been around forever, then 6000 years ago (despite it supposedly being perfect) it got bored and created us.

You forgot the part about their "god" going on periodic rampages of his blind rage trying to kill us all.

Using fundie atheistic logic the universe popped into existence by nothing and their lives are ultimately meaningless.

In Daniel He is referred to as The Ancient of Days, so I guess that makes Him pretty old.

"Ancient” indicate that God existed before time began. In Isaiah 43:13, we find that God refers to Himself existing from ancient of days (literally,“before days were”). That means God existed before days were even created." http://www.gotquestions.org/ancient-of-days.h...

Not at all. Our current universe is the result of the big bang. Prior to the big bang the entire universe was compressed down to an incredibly small size. Then a random quantum event triggered its expansion.

You have already been down this path and proven wrong.

Indeed. As I understand it time was brought into existence for our benefit and God dwells outside of time.
Hard to get ones mind around though.

Science is unable to show where the universe came from and why it is what is.

As for meaning in life, the great Richard Dawkins says it so well:

“In a universe of blind physical forces and genetic replication, some people are going to get hurt, other people are going to get lucky, and you won’t find any rhyme or reason in it, nor any justice. The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil and no good, nothing but blind pitiless indifference.” p.133
The Blind Watchmaker

He articulates the atheist position on meaning so well that it should be made into one of those statement magnets that an atheist could put on his refrigerator and read every day.

Our current universe is the result of the big bang. This is well documented and explained. If you want to find out more here is a good place to start - www.google.com . As for what the situation was prior to the big bang, no one knows for sure, not even you.

Ye, the universe is exactly how he describes it. So what? How does this stop individuals giving meaning to their lives based on their world view?

There you go YET AGAIN, believing some man made up sh*t based upon the book of lies man made up sh*t.

God does not "refer to himself" in your book of lies you idiot. It was inspired by evil man and written by man, for the sole purpose of controlling other's and self aggrandizing themselves. So that people look to them instead of to God for spiritual answers, and giving them made up sh*t instead. And you fell for it.

Will you ever stop lying.

"Science" shows where the universe came from and why it is what is better than your silly mythology does.

And Dawkin's statement does not speak for all atheists, you only made up that lie because your hatred and bigotry wants to believe it does.

If God is eternal, and the universe is only about 6000 years old, sure does beg the question what did God do before creation?

Furthermore, is it human manifest destiny to spread our religion in the galaxy, or will Earth be invaded and converted by aliens to worship an alien messiah?

It must have been pretty uninteresting to be all alone without any universe or people to occupy “His” attention.

God was not alone. His nature is trinitarian i.e. Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
