I can understand that, but that doesn't help me in the situation with my mom. There was no sinful thoughts or actions when I prayed for my mom's health, and I'm sure there wasn't when my family and friends were praying either...so why would "god" not answer that prayer, or other prayers that have no connection in that way? I understand if you can't answer that. The only answer I got from every pastor I asked was generational sin is the only thing they could come up with. Generational sin does not make sense though if Jesus was supposed to have died for our sins.
Your mother didn't die as the result of anybodys' sin. These things happen, death is a part of life. Ecc. 3:1-2 "to everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die..." We can't see into the future but God can and there's a reason God took your mother home when he did. One day you will know the reason but you need to trust him. There is life after death and you will be reunited one day.

I was a christian then you dick, and he didn't answer my or my brother's or my christian friends prayers. I don't want your opinion on my mother's death. I don't know you and I didn't ask. All I know is the facts and the facts are that I was a believer, and "he" didn't answer, and now I'm not a believer....and you can take your "God has a plan for everything" shit and shove it, so don't even go there.
I was a believer, too, then became agnostic for a period of time. It's not that he doesn't answer... He really does. It's just not always the answer you might be looking for at the time. If you ask for something in particular, you might find that you didn't receive that "thing", per se, but you've grown as a person or changed your perspective enough to where the thing doesn't matter that much anymore, as much as you've grown spiritually.

Not trying to preach to you, but Just remember, if you ever decide to come back, God will welcome you back home with open arms.

I'm sorry about your mom :(.... It's really, really tough to see a family member's health decline way before their time! And you're right, Generational Sin does not cover it! In my opinion, the pastors didn't have a good explanation why bad things happen to good people (I can't answer that either). They are not in your situation, and God imparts understanding to those who seek it in a very personal manner. A pastor's words may help, but it's always up to the individual to seek spiritual understanding.

I am praying for you right now, that you may continue to seek wisdom and gain some understanding, as you seem to be on a quest for answers.

Well NEWSFLASH, honey-dumbpling .... NON-BELIEVERS DON'T PRAY!
Even 'heathens' pray, O Biblically ignorant one.

Matthew 6:7 (NKJV)
7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.

I wouldn't have been so rude, and my apologies for being that way, but my feelings are involved heavily in that situation, and at the time I was a follower so it's not an option for you to tell me that believers are the only ones who have prayers answered.
Stop blaming God and look at yourself. He answers my prayers.

Now show me the verse that directly states he will ONLY answer prayers if he's in the mood?

Is that the answer he gave you when you prayed for a tooth fairy to flutter around in your bedroom, NO?

I can't say that I wouldn't like an answer that's for sure, but I've kinda stopped searching cause I'm not sure if it can be answered really. I've come to terms with it better this past year. It is hard and thank you for your kind words. I tried very hard to "trust God" and his will in that whole situation. I had many conversations with him. I also had a last conversation with him when I decided to follow a different path other than christianity. If there is a "god" out there, then I have made my peace with him, and I believe that he understands where I am in my heart. There are so many horrible trolls on the atheist website that claim to be christians and I just wanna say that it's so nice to see kind, compassionate christians that exist on topix. Although I don't rely on prayer to get me by, I do appreciate the thought that you hold while you are praying for me. You have a very "blessed" :) Day :D

At least they have some book of delusions about a moronically insane evil dead "god" myth.

Over which I'll take my lifetime of spiritual experiences and first hand personal experiences with the real God, any time.

But as the low life troll that you are, that is beyond your comprehension.

I've seen you state that lie repeatedly, but ignoring some idiot trolls while continuing to post to others, is hardly stopping altogether. But do go ahead and maintain your delusion if it makes you happy.

I'm sorry if you feel the need to invent ever increasing lies to get my attention, but you will always be one of those bottom feeders that I rarely bother with.

Maybe you could try posting something intelligent... oh, never mind... some things are impossible...

I think it's >>>FUNNY<<< when HG creates his socks and posts/talks to himself to make it look like "someone" is agreeing with him.

It's like watching a psycho comedy of self esteem issues.
