i am an atheist this is your chance to convert me. all you will need to do is disprove the base of my world view so at this point i will present it."I exist." "My senses are sometimes accurate." This is what the base of my world view is. If you can show where the statements are incorrect i will convert.

Hello Silver: I don't believe any human being has the power to "convert" you, so it will be interesting to see the responses. I believe If God is real, He will reveal Himself to you if you truly want to know Him.

I appreciate your world view, though, and appreciate your sharing it with us. I don't disagree with it. Hope this thread doesn't degenerate as so many do here, and that a genuine interesting discussion could actually happen. I wish you well

Thank you very much for the kind words i also hope to have an interesting discussion. If your world view includes a god i would like to ask if we can go together from the base points i have posted and see where we diverge?

"I think, therefore I am", it is regarded one of the basic truths, but are you sure that your senses are giving you the exact and truthful information on reality?

I am very doubtful to that.

One example, we can see colours, at least we think so, but are the real nature of colours what we think that we can see; but no, colours are frequencies of light and our brain creates our image of colours, our brain have created a practical tool for our orientation and survival in this world.

And it is not the only thing our brain created for us.
When we are observing something interesting our attention is focused on the ongoing actions, whatever goes on in the periphery might pass without us noticing anything at all.
Magicians are using this phenomenon for everything it is worth.

We are not at all as present in reality as we like to believe.
Are you sure of what to believe?

“so tell me......”

Why do you feel the need to put out this challenge if you are comfortable with who you are and what you believe?

I don't feel that it is anyones job to try and "convert" another person as far as faith is concerned.

also if you could present an alternative that i could know was more accurate without using any of my scenes i would be happy to accept it

I must challenge myself because i value truth above all. it is no ones job but i have been told that because i dont believe in a god my world view cannot be accurate therefore i want to find how it is not accurate.

The Holy Spirit convicts the heart and makes way for repentance. None of us are the Holy Spirit. We can share the Word, that is all. What you do with it is up to you and God.

But let me throw you this challenge. I am a believer. Make an atheist out of me.

No we have no other choices than living within our perception of reality, but we should always keep in mind that reality at the bottom line might be something quite different.
Therefore my advice; be aware and put to a test everything that goes by emotions.

How does this world view make you an atheist?

Impossible. One cannot make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

My reality is based upon not believing all of this (universe, natural world, all kinds of different life and such) just "happened."

air-breathing vertebrate characterised by the possession of endothermy, hair, three middle ear bones, and mammary glands functional in mothers with young. Most mammals also possess sweat glands and specialised teeth. The largest group of mammals, the placentals, have a placenta which feeds the offspring during gestation. The mammalian brain, with its characteristic neocortex, regulates endothermic and circulatory systems, the latter featuring red blood cells lacking nuclei and a large, four-chambered heart maintaining the very high metabolism rate they have. Mammals range in size from the 30–40 millimeter (1- to 1.5-inch) bumblebee bat to the 33-meter (108-foot) blue whale. so this person dosent believe that they fit the description. I apologize but i cant take you word on this.
