People who claim they are Christians but say stuff like, "God hates gays" or claim they hate gay people are not real Christians. The Bible says that if you say you love God but hate another person for whatever reason then that person walks in darkness and the truth is not in them. They are supposed to love everyone regardless of their sexuality. No real Chrsitian would hate a homosexual.

God hates what they do or else He wouldn't call it an abomination. Don't like it? Take it up with Him.

I wrote to you in my epistle not tokeep company with sexually immoral people. Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would have to go out of the world.
But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother , who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a drunkard, or a reviler, or an extortioner-not even to eat with such a person.
For what have I to do with judging those who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside?
But those who are outside God judges. Therefore "put away from yourselves the evil person."

Okay. But can you make the same application to other sins (1 Corinthians 6:9,10; Galatians 5:19-21)? Just where do you think God draws the line. BTW, I agree with some of what you say...

Hi Therbred:

I agree that real Christians should not hate gays or for that matter anyone else. As a missionary I believe I am a missionary to all people and that includes gays. I don't care what someone's sin is. All people are sinners. And Christians are sinners saved by grace, but sinners none the less. The only difference between the saved and the unsaved is a simple prayer. Homosexuality is indeed sin. The Bible is clear on that. But having gay feelings and acting upon them are two very different things. Sin of any nature that isn't forgiven by grace through salvation will still find you in the same hell.

Blessings,
Missionary Man

I understand the point you're making. I believe a common misunderstanding of Christians that when these epistles were written, they were written to the believers, ergo, the Church. These are instructions for believers to modify their behavior to reflect the image of Christ. Paul, being the apostle to the Gentiles, is admonishing these "heathens" that now that they have given their lives to the one true and living God (as opposed to the pagan gods) that they can no longer act as they did before they came to the knowledge of Christ. Nor should they think more highly of themselves than they ought to (at any given time), or become puffed up because they no longer openly commit acts of overt sin (wrong doing in the sight of God). If a believing brother or sister should be weak in certain areas, or refuses to mend their past behavior, then those who are stronger in their faith should help them to overcome, or direct them to the elders of the church for spiritual counseling. But all the time it may not have to go that far if words are spoken in love and away from the public. There's a time and place for everything.
If the elders think it necessary to remove them from the congregation, it should only be for a temporary period of time and hopefully under some supervision. If the person is truly repentent for their actions, and their behavior reflects it, then they are to be restored to the congregation, and accepted without questions.
What is written to the believers does not apply to others, by biblical standards, unless they become believers. If someone is feeling that yearning to give their life to Christ, then we must allow Christ to convict them, not us. Sometimes it takes some people a little longer than others, that's all.

Jesus left his flock and went to find the lost sheep. Him without sin throw the first stone. Men have you lust? thats adultery and adultery is an aboination too. Pride is an abomination too ALL Christians have this one too.
If a fem gay struggler who is saved came to our church would you love him and help him? Most men run from them and reject them. God DESESTS the proud . And gives grace to the humble.
We are to be salt and light to the lost not dung and poison. The tongue is filled with deadly poison.
We the Church need to repent of our hate pride and out bursts of anger. The Kingdom of God is Righteousness Joy Peace in the Holy Spirit who dwells in us. BY GRACE have we been saved so no one should boast. Most of the gays have beed abused and they need to see the Truth and Love of God. The church is filled with sexual immorality too porn lust adultery and divorce homosexuality pediphiles. The Holy Ghost is covicting the christians too. Most go to church to play church and perfect. The Bible is a mirror to our souls. Where is the Love? Love is the greatest gift. Love fufil ALL the law. Love is the MOSt excellent Way. God is love. No love no power no righteousness joy and peace. No Love no God.
THOUSANDS have been set free from homosexuality in Christ and the sanctification in the Holy Spirit!! 1 corinthians 6-9-11. Give show and share the Love of God, The Spirit of God will EMPOWER you!

That's what gets me. You're quoting a scripture which never contained the word homosexuality until it was inserted in 1942. ANYONE can be sexually immoral - straight, gay, bi, whatever. Gay people don't own the corner market on being sexually immoral. Christians DO NOT get to start quoting scriptures as "fact" when, in fact, the scripture they're quoting is a far-cry from the original text. The original text of the Bible does NOT condemn homosexuality as the current KJV Bible would like us to believe. Christians like to think being gay is the number one sin but somehow ignore it's not even in the Top Ten. How many Christians have officially committed adultery or lie or cheat or steal??? One can not simply point out the sins of another and ignore their own. It flies in the face of what Christ taught. As Ghandi said "I like your Christ but I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are nothing like your Christ".

Yes, you are right as long as we know the limit to our relationship with the same sex.

Although God is LOVE, that does not make us feel free to do anything we like to the same sex like doing sth to the ass.

You know a god is man made when it hates the same people you do.

Isn't that just convenient since they can excuse their hate and say that their God told them to even though the book of the bible does not say that.

Being gay is also a man-made character, huh! God realized that He had created a man alone and seemed a homosexual. Then He realized that He had to create a woman so that a man would not be a homosexual.
If God had allowed a homosexual activity, I think He would have created another male for the partner of Adam huh!

I don't know how many gays there are in the world, but I am willing to bet that there are more married couples who have cheated on one another than there are gay people in the world. That to me is immoral, not someone who has a gay lifestyle. Why no religious outrage at people who commit adultery. I would also be willing to bet that you Christians know more adulterers than you do gays. Do any of you actually know a gay person, have any of you ever spent time in a gay persons company? Again I would be willing to bet the answer for most of you is no! It is more self righteously satisfying to point the finger and condemn, rather than find out that gay people are just people like everyone else.

Is that how you define people, by the sex practices? Sex practices and sexual oreintation are two seperate things. Sex practices vary greatly in all sexual oreintations. Regardless I fell in love with a person not their genitalia.
