you're assuming in your mind that I am taking "one" verse out of context. I am speaking of more than one verse here, duh.<quoted text>
If you read the Bible you will see that those taken up in the air are resurrected ones, that is what Paul was talking about the resurrection but you just take one verse out of context.
a total of 5 verses together tell of the "Rapture".
when one dies who is a stout believer in God, their spirit goes to heaven (the spiritual world). and those who have died we will meet them in the air, to meet the Lord. and our bodies shall be changed in the twinkling of an eye; corruptible to incorruptible, or one could say mortal to immortal. Those believers that have died are in heaven, but not their bodies, not until the Rapture time.
Read verse 14 again (1 Thessalonians chapter 4), God will bring those who have died with him when the Rapture occurs.
