I was reading ancient Iranian texts (1300 bc) about the birth of Zoroaster, his mother was impregnated by a shaft of light. Sound familiar. He was also the first to propose the one true God, many centuries before jews held their own beliefs in the one God. He was also the first to propose that the universe is a battle between good and evil. It seems to me that Jesus bears striking similarities to Zoroaster his other immaculately born brother.

There will always be copies of the real thing if the real thing is of value.
Its up to you to decide which is real and which is fake.

Zorostrianism is one of the religions that christianity stole from. besides Mithraism, Judaism and Paganism.

Zoroaster came 1300 years before Jesus, so jesus myths would be the repackaged copy. This immaculate conception is an obvious copy.

How can something which was present BEFORE xtianity be a copy?

Jesus was prophecied in the OT long before His birth. Being the first to appear doesn't make it the real thing.

Zoroaster predated those prophesies. I was taught, also, in church that all the similarities to other religions were THOSE religions copying Christianity - it was when I studied on my own further that I found that was not true...Christianity came later than the things it copied.

Here are two keys to keep in mind:

1. There is nothing new in the New Testament
2. There is nothing new in the Old Testament.

Hello Venus, hope you are well,
There are bible scholars who would say that Jesus was prophesied as far back as Genesis.
I'm no scholar re these things but what I have read in the past makes sense to me:)

Yes, lots of plans , the best of which is to have the family all together. Doesn't happen often enough for my liking.

I think its a good idea to agree to disagree. See you elsewhere on other thread around here I'm sure :)

Prophecy only makes Jesus less credible, not more, because the very ones who wrote can easily write and fill in the rest of the story..And what people do you know of, past or present that not praying for a liberator, and as we know the jews were waiting for warrior, not teacher of wisdom and forgiveness, most jews are still waiting for the warrior..PEACE..

All religions are the by-product of primitive tribal superstition, that is why, they all a personal God that is exclusively in favor of everyone that believes in the tribal scripture, which every religion calls holy, because it was inspired by their personal tribal God and of course the tribe believes they are the chosen children of God, and everys elses only hope is to submit to the PERSONAL GOD OF THE CHOSEN TRIBE..If you study history there have been a few dominant religions in the world, that spread just like all the others, through military conquest, NOT PRETTY SOUNDING SERMONS AND CHURCH HYMMS..PEACE..

Zoroaster was an interesting figure in history. At a time when most were worshipping trees and stones he came announcing that he had a revelation from the Creator. His message was similar to the story about God in the Old Testament and he also spoke of a coming righteous one who would appear just before the end of the age(Jesus). This demonstrates that God has spoken to others. In the Old Testament the Babylon King showed unusual respect to Daniel when he told him that his revelation was from the Creator God. The Babylonians had heard of the one true God through Zoroaster years before.

Now if the jews had written a prophecy about a coming messiah, and he would have showed up as a native American indian, then maybe we could consider that a real prophecy fullfilled..PEACE..

Peace be with all my friends.

littletree belongs to the native American Indian tribe.
It is sad that he has so much resentment towards other tribes.
"All religions are the by-product of primitive tribal superstition,"littletree( talk about condemnation)

Even so he is a warrior and a friend :-)
