The Bishop of Rome has been the spiritual head of Western Christianity since Clement I who Tertullian says was appointed by Saint Peter.
If that was true then Gregory VII would not have had to issue his 27 Dictatus papae declaring that the bishop of Rome, which just happened to be himself, had absolute authority over the church.

Note the argument against a second coming of the Messiah at this link is contradicted by this information that I posted earlier.
"The Two Messiahs
As the rabbis studied the prophetic writings concerning the Messiah they realized that most Messianic prophecies seem to fall into two categories. The Messiah was to be both someone who died on our behalf and a Redeemer who would be victorious and rule forever over the Messianic Kingdom. To explain what seemed like a contradiction they concluded that there must be two different Messiahs. The one who would suffer and die was given the title Mashiach ben Yosef (Messiah son of Joseph) and one who would reign as king was given the title Mashiach ben David (Messiah son of David).
The Suffering Messiah:(Messiah Son of Joseph)
The Ruling Messiah:(Messiah Son of David)"

Either we agree to a stalemate, or we look at this from another angle. The bible can be interpreted a number of different ways, so it's not surprising that you can pull out a version that allows for two separate visitations by the messiah.

My issue is that the OT has a number of verifiable acts that the messiah will carry out, such as world peace.

The NT claims next to nothing in the way of verifiable evidence that Jesus is the messiah. Think about claims of a virgin birth for instance. As a prophetic fulfillment, its worthless since it can only be accepted by faith.

What is the point of prophecy if it can't be tested?

Are you paying attention? I did not pull out a version. I quoted a Jewish source and provided a link to a two more. They deal with the apparent contradiction between the "Suffering Servant" messiah and the "Conquering King" messiah by interpreting the relevant scriptures as referring to two different messiahs. Although the scriptures always refer to "The King Messiah."

The Jewish answer is the Messiah ben David.

The Jewish translation of the LXX before the common era translates Isaiah 7:14 as "the parthenos will conceive and bear a son" That means virgin and it ain't a Christian translation.

He didn't have to and they weren't 'issued'. Some argue Gregory VII didn't even write them.

You did not quote a Jewish source. You quoted a Messianic Jewish source.

Evidently Gregory VII thought the Dictatus Papae were necessary since they gave him powers the "Pope" had not had before and according to Encyclopedia Brittanica he did issue them.

According to Jews, orthodox or otherwise, Jesus is not the Messiah of Hebrew Scripture. You can put yarmulke on an evangelical fundamentalist but it's still an evangelical fundamentalist.

And the Messianic Jews reject the rejection of the so-called orthodoxy. Oh yes consider the source. Logical fallacy, poisoning the well. Let us just ignore that the information at the Jewishroots site is from the Talmud which is not rejected by Israel.

The source is polluted by evangelical fundamentalism. Don't be pawning it off as legitimate Judaism.

The argument of your source hinges on Psalms 72 but if you were familiar with the Bible you would know it paralleled in 1 Kings 2 and 3 which are not messianic prophecies.

OK, this time I won't point out that one of your sources is a Christian evangelism source and the other is just downright insane. I'll just advise the readers to consider the sources.

Now that you've been shown to be a fraud once more today I guess you'll be changing the subject.

What about evolution. You dropped that like a hot potato. Care to pick it up again?

You have not shown anyone anything. You accustions about myh links mean absodiddly squat! No hot potato! What should I pick up about evolution? I stated an analogy and you have been whining about it since then. I said I could make my example more complex but it would still be the same.
