That one way of putting it. They disregard it the definition though....end of life means end of life.

Do you think you have a immaterial "soul-spirit"?

Christians desire so much to go to this heaven. I never hear them tell me about this thing they look forward to. They have made it their purpose in life to get there yet they rarely describe what it is like or why they want to go there and why they desperately want to go there. The bible doesn't describe it that much either.
So why are people so obsessed with going there?
It seems that the mental conditioning is so effective that a proper description isn't even needed. They have people desperate to get to a place they don't know about.
So we already saw that jesus is not proven to claim to be a god..as evidenced by various interpreations that can reasonably made...noteably by the jewish and muslim religions and thousands of christian sects rhat can't agree what the bible means. Yet they proclaim a guy that didn't say he was a god is a god.
We already know that to come to believe the bible to begin with..regardless of which interpretation....requires blind faith in unknown authors where we have no original document and where the story arcs resemble prior myths.
And now...the end goal of heaven.......a place left mostly to your imagination with the understanding that it is nice there.
Is it just me?
Ya, it's just you.

I do not give heaven any thought time unless it comes up on here. That is in the future, and I will not lose sight of today looking to the future.

What I look forward to are simple things. Doing my best for others and my family as many days of the week as I can. Seeing my hubby's joy over fresh flowers on the table. Seeing my child smile at a sunrise. Rubbing under my dogs chins and bellies. Watching my sprouts in the garden grow.

If I take care of every day to the best of my ability, I do not need to spend time thinking about Heaven.

THE "TELEVISION AN INTERNET" CHRISTIANS.

As I go through all the back dated threads on the christian web sites I see all
the 90 day christian backsliders who have come and gone. The 90 day experts. Who
came and told us all the secrets of God and told us how much they loved Jesus and
that they were a new creature...BORN AGAIN.

And that they were the righteousness of Jesus.

MOST ALL THE FOOLISHNESS AND IDIOTIC STUPIDITY

THAT CHRISTIANS HAVE ACQUIRED TODAY.

They got it from

TELEVISION AN RADIO and INTERNET CHRISTIANS.

This is where WOMEN PREACHERS AND PASTORS AND

TEACHERS AND BISHOPS AND DEACONS AND WOMEN ELDERS

CAME FROM. AND THEN CAME ALONG THE

INTERNET...THAT WAS LIKE ADDING GASOLINE TO THE

FIRE.

ANYTHING GOES WITH THEM

AS LONG AS IT IS WHAT THEY WANT TO DO.

IF THEY DO NOT WANT TO DO IT.

THEN THAT IS OF THE DEVIL

IF THEY WANT TO DO IT

THAT IS THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF JESUS.

This is were

sodomites

lesbians

witches

warlocks

you know

every perverted imagination of man

is accepted

as being of God.

Hello. Nice to meet you. I have to disagree with you. As far as what is "acquired" I think they got a great deal of foolishness from the bible and their parents.

Ultimately I blame poor parenting. Parents should educate their children and educate them on the right things. They should also never expose them to religion -- at least present it in a way that presents it as factual. I am against childhood indoctrination as it relates to obvious absurdities.

One Step Closer to God

For every sin you repent from.

You will be one step closer to God.

The more you repent from the sin that you do. The more God will draw you closer to Him.

Sin is the poison of this world.
It will paralyze you and cause you to miss out on
the good things of life and God.

Sin is never
worth the price
it will cost you.

To resist doing sin or to resist
temptation or to resist the devil
It will take constant never ending effort from you.
Everyday
All day long.
Day after day.
For as long as you are here on Earth.

Jesus answered,“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

The way to overcome sin...Repentance through Jesus

The Truth will make you free from sin...Repentance through Jesus

A life without sin...Repentance through Jesus

The only way to God...Repentance through Jesus

The less sin you commit

the less God's wrath will be upon you.

The more sin you commit

the more God's wrath will be upon you.

Do you want the favor of God upon you?

Then please God in all you do.

Do you want the wrath of God upon you?

Then displease God.

what I don't do is pray or imagine being with them in heaven...because there is no real reason to believe that.

It's wishful thinking. It would be nice but some of us can't believe something just because it sounds nice......instead we accept reality instead of circumventing it

Oh -- if it's not wishful thinking -- feel free to provide proof of heaven. I'm all ears.
