I just don't know why so many people keep banging on with the anti gay stuff. Yet they trim beards and eat seafood.
Hopefully one day they'll realise they have behaved as badly as the people that defended slavery, denied women the vote and racially segregated in the bible belt.
<quoted text>
They couldnt shave the edges of their beard's or tattoo themselves because thats how the pagans worshiped there God at the time and God didnt want Israel imitating them either in the way they worshiped their idols Gods, so that is why he told them dnt rim the edges of your beards or dont tattoo yourself.

As for the seafood issue, they were in the desert so lobster, crab, shrimp etc would make them sick from all the toxins in them, so that is why they were unclean foods. Christians really shouldnt be eating those foods now, but they have taken a story of Jesus saying not washing your hands doesnt make you unclean in MAtt15 and Mark 7 and a go ahead to eat whatever they want.

But as for the gay issue, no where in the old or new testament do you see any scriptures backing the gay lifestyle.

So you're saying morals change with time. I agree.

Since even the NT is OK with slavery, and I assume you are not, are you saying you need to do another rewrite? The Even Newer Testament?

<quoted text>
NT is not okay with slavery. Mankind twisted the scriptures to justify slavery. There is no way you could abuse, starve, and beat someone else and that would fall under Love One Another or Love God.

That's your opinion. The NT says otherwise.
But you did the right thing and overruled the bible.

Therefore you could also reconcile your issue with gays.

Notice how Ant and some of the Christians twists the bible to what they want it to read and mean?

They do that quite a bit.
I don't understand everything about the Bible and neither does a lot of these self proclaimed Christians on here do either.
You can see that very clear in their posts that they know very little to nothing about the faith they supposedly advocate on here, otherwise they would not be on here keep posting in resentment and hatefulness to those who don't believe as they supposedly do.

They're running out of demographics that they're "socially allowed" to hate. I guess this is why they are hanging on to their gay hatred.

These gay hating idiots are always trying to convince that society is going to fall apart, but the truth is, that empires haven't fallen due to homosexuality, but have fallen due to religion and politics throughout millenniums. The bible writers are the only ones who blame the downfall of a city due to homosexuality instead of really telling the truth as to why.

I agree with you. I've gone to parochial school when I was young and read the bible, but as I got older I didn't need people dictating to me their stupid biblical interpretations anymore. I've read the bible and it's one contradiction after the other and no evidence. I also took world religion and ancient history courses in college, which really verified how twisted the writers of the bible were.

Religion is the downfall of empires? Give me a friggin' break... Empires generally fall because of decay.

One contradiction after another? Gee, another 'expert' on GOD's word.

You purposely didn't include politics in the sentence and you wonder why nobody believes a damn thing you post. You also just proved you were sleeping through HS, that's if you even made that far.

Or maybe no one believes your BS.
Here are some examples.

The reasons are many and complex, and not all historians agree about which factors were the most important. It's somewhat easier to explain the decay of dynasties: The founder is usually a vigorous, clever and capable man who generates a lot of support by giving away lots of land and booty after many victories. The offspring of such men tend to be pampered and grow up narcissistic, which gives them an unrealistic approach to the world and unrealistic expectations.
This spoiling tends to get worse with each generation, although some dynasties (like the French Bourbons) last much longer than others (like the Stuarts). Many historians have tried to find a pattern in these declines, but none has been successful. We still have no clue why the Mayan empire collapsed so suddenly.

No specific order

1. The empire may expand beyond the ability of its rulers to administer it, and provinces break away or are conquered.
2. In any empire ruled by a dynasty, some the successors to the founder will be unsuited in intellect, personality or popularity to maintain the empire, and the empire will either splinter or be absorbed by another state.
3. The desire of the subjugated for freedom may be greater than the will of the subjugators to suppress them, and there will be a successful revolution.
4. The empire may be lacking in a technology or resource which strengthens its enemies, who destroy the empire or take it over.
5. The rulers or citizens of the empire may become convinced that it is wrong, either morally or economically, to maintain an empire, necessitating divestiture of the empire.
6. Natural disaster, in the form of pestilence, famine or decreased birthrate, may weaken the empire to the point that it cannot maintain its possessions.

Don't be so quick to judge

Why?

You already posted that you knew all about that but you said it got "twisted".

So you were just lying.

You're right. Tolerance of gay people won't cause the world to end.

So, you have no proof.
Why would a loving god make me wait until it's too late to let me know he exists?
