Is there only one side to the starvation/nutrition issue..? Or are there several if not dozens of reasons why so many people starve, or are undernourished..??
.

I don't know...You tell me. With all the advancements humans have made in science over the years and all of the wealth western countries accumulate today, are countries and governments blessed with both really that advanced when poverty, homelessness, and starvation are up in that country. How could we deem ourselves that intelligent as a species but allow these things to keep increasing. I mean, with all of the work we as a human beings put in, we could feed and clothe the world over, but instead we let aristocratic clubs within our governments run the show and lie to us about how they need money for junk like a space program to search for life out in infinite space. That's all I'm saying. I mean, who in their right minds spends money on the Kardashian DVD collection set and 5 flat screens, while their children in their own household starve and run around without clothes? Do you see what I'm saying? Do you consider a person, who runs out to spend all of their money on the Kardashian DVD collection set while their children in their own household starve, an intellectual?

Knowledge of what could be out in infinite space can be entertaining but is that really going pay the bills.?

BTW....Here is a question. Who do you think in all of history has been smart enough and played a bigger part in making a majority of weapons for religious wars? Religious people or Intellectuals? I ask this because I'm always seeing you tell us how dumb religious people are.

<quoted text>and an influx of Latin American RC's. Who are changing the old white Anglo version of American Roman Catholicism into something different...not fully there yet, but in the next 25+ years the avg American RC parish will look and be much different than what preceeded it...!
But many more RC churches will be closing in that time frame as well. As the these newer RC's are not bringing the cash with them.
Yes! It's all about the cash. We also found out from local news that the RCC wants to buy more hospitals. Also, I noticed 3 brand new "Catholic Credit Unions" open in our area. It's obvious the RCC isn't hurting finacially. They are also opening up more assisted living facilities, which are outragiously expensive. There's one down the road from us which we checked out for my mom.

Not only that....I know more about what's in the holly bibble than 80% of all the live Christians in the world.

See here you are again, putting words in Jesus mouth. He said no such thing!

I will pray for you to come out of that darkness. You have accepted a very vile and bastardized version of Jesus true teachings. Jesus never instructed anyone to bash others over the head with his own words, or those of the authors of the Old Testament.

Jesus made no mention of Biblical literacy! Why do you put words in Jesus mouth?

What form of Christianity, if it is Christianity, do you adhere to?

Biblical literacy was never taught by Jesus as a means to gaining his blessings. Simply because there was nothing even close to a Bible when Jesus walked among us, but more so as he was dead set against Dogmatists and those who would use knowledge of Jewish scripture (which was still not canonized in his time) like some sort of litmus test. He disliked those who thought public displays of their devotion and therefore their righteousness was a correct way to worship.

Matt, 6:5-

“And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love xto stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. yTruly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, zgo into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. aAnd your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

“And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as bthe Gentiles do, for cthey think that they will be heard dfor their many words. Do not be like them, efor your Father knows what you need before you ask him."

I've highlighted before that Noah was given precise dimensions and instructions for building the ark yet not a word is given in the new testament about a church. Amazing that in 2000 years the church now owns more real property than any other entity except the world governments. Beginning with Constantine the Roman emperor in the fourth century the whole game is rigged against the poor of the world.

Its not about paying the bills...it about our inherent need to explore.

Personally, I'd like to see more money spent exploring the oceans and other bodies of water right here on earth...as we still know so little about life under the sea/waters. Do it before its too late.

But I have no issue with space exploration. Its more than just entertaining...
