Leviticus Chapter 11

1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them: 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying: These are the living things which ye may eat among all the beasts that are on the earth. 3 Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is wholly cloven-footed, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that may ye eat. 4 Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that only chew the cud, or of them that only part the hoof: the camel, because he cheweth the cud but parteth not the hoof, he is unclean unto you. 5 And the rock-badger, because he cheweth the cud but parteth not the hoof, he is unclean unto you. 6 And the hare, because she cheweth the cud but parteth not the hoof, she is unclean unto you. 7 And the swine, because he parteth the hoof, and is cloven-footed, but cheweth not the cud, he is unclean unto you.

* Children of Israel
* Ten Lost Tribes

The Children of Israel, Banu Israel or B'nei Yisrael (בנ&#1 497; יש&#15 12;אל) in Hebrew (also B'nai Yisrael, B'nei Yisroel or Bene Israel) is a Biblical term for the Israelites. It is also an alternate way of referring to the people known as Hebrews or Jews. In the Torah, the actual children of Israel are the twelve sons of Jacob (also named Israel). The Children of Israel are also known as the Twelve Tribes.

The phrase "Children of Israel" (or "Sons of Israel") refers to the offspring of the Biblical patriarch Jacob, who was renamed "Israel" after he triumphed in a wrestling match with a mysterious adversary. The name "Israel" in English means "Struggles with God" [1]; see Israel.

1 Corinthians 10 - 23 23"Everything is permissible"—but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible"—but not everything is constructive. 24Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others.
25Eat anything sold in the meat market without raising questions of conscience, 26for, "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it."[c]

27If some unbeliever invites you to a meal and you want to go, eat whatever is put before you without raising questions of conscience.

Jesus on food.. And He said to them, "Are you so lacking in understanding also? Do you not understand that whatever goes into the man from outside cannot defile him,

Mark 7:19 because it does not go into his heart, but into his stomach, and is eliminated?" (Thus He declared all foods clean.

Really? How convenient of you!...only for the Jews ey? Well, following your broken logic, then Jesus is only for the Jews as well:

Matthew 15:24
...I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

You just gave a long-winded definition that Israel refers to Israelites, the Jews, so Jesus is not for you!

Also, not even God the Father is your God:

Acts 7:32
...I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob...

LOL! Looks like you're the one who has to do their homework.

While the rest of you argue who is right and who is wrong I'll be reading while I eat my dripping pulled pork sandwich.

How about who gives a rats a$$?

So eating pork makes one a bad christian? How pathetic is that. Or rather how pathetic that one had to bring this "gotcha" moment up.

I LOVE this posting. It points out the hypocrisy of Christianity. Out of the 614 Leveticus codes only 2 are followed by Christians today. Jesus HATED hypocrisy and by picking and choosing which codes to follow Christians show they are anything but Christ like. If you're going to condemn somone based on the holiness codes found in the OT, specifically Letveticus, you better read the whole chapter and figure out you're heading to hell in a hand basket a lot faster then anyone you choose to condemn. Amen to this one.

No, dimwit, I'm saying if you're going to either say gays are going to hell, and some even go as far as to say they should be killed per Leveticus, then you need to include anyone who's ever been divorced or cheated on their spouse, anyone who's ever cursed their mother and father and ANYONE else Leveticus says should be killed. Why is it such nimwits put in a "LOL" when replying like they're either so funny or witty when their post only proves how mentally retarded they are? There is a LONG laundry list of things not allowed by the old holiness codes in Leveticus however the only ones you ever hear any right wingers mention are the ones about homosexuality (which, I may add, when Googled will show you the original translation of abomination is speaking of being unclean for a ritual - this is EXACTLY why also eating shellfish is an abomination). It's just beyond hypocrital you'll have someone who's committed adultery and say gays are going to hell according to the Bible yet they're too cluelss or too ignorant to realize, according to the Bible, they're going to hell 1st.
