It is satisfying to see that Christianity as a whole is a dying movement. People who still claim to be of it, sure do not follow it's teachings. Just look around you. Sex, babies out of wedlock, crime drugs, immorality. Even more, more than half the people I see who claim to be Christian don't even go to church, lol.

Christianity, though I must myself admit was at one time powerful, is not even the world's top religion anymore. Statistically more people are embracing Buddhism and Islam in these times, with the latter being at number one. Christianity has become a minority, do the research :)

The Christians of today live in a sad little world. Overly udgmental of others and claiming hellfire if you don't see things their way, because deep down they know in their hearts that their faith is on it's way out. It's honestly quite pathettic, yet funny to see.

I for one am amused, and shall avidly continue to observe this former power play known as Christianity crumble into dust.

i'm glad you said that,
yes, some who say that they are christians, have gotten lazy, in being believers,
but, i'm not going to be responsible for what they do,
i have my responsibility to keep up in my faith in GOD,
i may not know what survey, you looked at,
but when i see non believers going forward to make a commitment to GOD, the statistics are growing,
some like in all walks of life say they are committed, like faith, marriages, family, friendship, jobs,
after awhile, don't keep their commitments, and start to neglect everything, maybe in the beginning they were so gung ho, but, they start to going back to their bad habits,
there are many, who have been rather wishy washy about many things,
can't keep promises, they soon forget, they get bored,
it really isn't about the spiritual things, it's about the person who just can't seem to stick to anything,
now, those who say that they are christians, and still promiscuous, stealing, lying, murdering, can say what ever they want, even give you verses,
BUT, are they really true christians,
anybody would say no, they are not,
just watch the walk, it says it all,
but to put true christians, in the same catagory as these individuals
is unfair, truly, and it's sad to judge us as so,
i believe you, in your statement, but to a point,
in 1000 people who say i'm a christian, maybe you will find half of that, that are true christians by the way their walk, talk, and action
you see, i've seen and lived on the other side of the coin,
and it's easy, to spot the phoneys,
can you tell the difference,
or is it just easier, to throw all of us in one bunch
be honest,
Job

Like NDanger said, you've just confirmed prophesy.

Some other things to consider:

Christianity will never 'completely' die out naturally. The seemingly "dying out" is to true to some extent, but it depends on what exactly you mean by 'Christianity'.'Cultural' Christianity generally speaking, has no 'real' association with 'converted/committed' Christianity. There's people who grow up in church for instance, who are categorized by pollsters as 'Christians', but left as soon as they left the house (went off to college, became employed and independent, etc.).

In fact, in countries where Christianity is frowned upon, the chances are greater than more professed Christians will be 'genuinely' converted/committed Christians. And this is because if they are willing to suffer, their Christianity will more likely be genuine.

People also look over, or are not aware of historical revivals in regions where Christianity 'did' face 'decline'. Christianity is also like a fire that cannot be put out. It's seems to be put out in one spot (region, State, country), and then burns in another (China, Latin America, Africa).

The real question is, what will happen in places where the government and people are expecting this carrot-chasing utopia where Christianity dies out, but inevitably never does?

The bible speaks of many straying away from the faith in the end times

Matthew 24

10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

1 Timothy 4
New King James Version (NKJV)
The Great Apostasy

4 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, 3 forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

Christianity is still the largest denomination.

the move of God right now is like wildfire.
don't kid yourself, people are coming to God everyday on this planet.

Jesus said every jot and tittle of the prophecy of God WOULD BE fulfilled.
We have God's promise in Isaiah 55:11 that His word will be fulfilled.

do you realize how many christian souls have died before us and now stand with God and how many more before the end comes?
the family of God (the saints) are countless.

2 Thessalonians 2
Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ[a] had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin[b] is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God[c] in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

what are you smoking scooter?
the facts are Christianity is built upon Judiasm
the OT.
Christians follow Jesus was was JEWISH.
the entire christian faith is built upon and around judiasm

and Judiasm has been on going since Abraham.
the begining of God's creation.
so if you think it is going to die out, then you are clearly suffering from a mental disorder that prevents you from seeing any kind of logic and truth.

If we should believe the revelations and Nostradamus then the Christian carousel will soon crumble, but not to dust. The so-called christian's will crumble big time and oh, the world will be a lot holier after WW3, when the lessens are learned and the bodies are counted! There will be moere woman than man in the world then, but soon the carousel will start turning again and the harlots playing chrisitian will start their dance again!

That's the word! But chrisitans ought to be few and far between: just like Jesus said: many are called but few are chosen!

Christianity is not dying. Your view of Christianity is perverted by your hatred of God and Christians. Christianity has ALWAYS been a very small minority. But it cannot die.
