I am at a loss here. What was the purpose of the event? To show off in prayer they are united?

Why have you got your underwear in a twist over this Nephie? Don't you Christians believe that Islam is a false doctrine? If that is the case, then you must also believe their prayers fall on deaf ears and are meaningless. So all you really had was a gathering of Muslims at Capitol Hill. What was the point of the Christian counter prayer day? Would the Christians have been so concerned if it had been a gathering of Jews holding prayers? I doubt it.

A quote from the news source:

"This is just about prayer," Abdellah told FOXNews.com . "The purpose is Islamic unity, so we can display the beauty of Islam. We believe the groups are going to be people who love and respect America, and we want to let America know that we're here and that we support the country."

I don't know why some Christians are so upset. Jews, Christians, and Muslims worhip the same Abrahamic god.

Would you be so bold to state that secular humanist/ atheistic thought and liberalism didn't help to escalate the 13th Century throwback foothold upon your shores?

The UK is run by appeasement fools that go to church and think that any religion, any religion at all is better than nothing.

Religious people are like any civil servant- they never accept to downsize.

I think it is great they got together for prayer. I simply do not understand what they were praying for. Why do you have your underwear in a knot for me simply asking a question? Seriously, you have issues.

How can you prove your assertion?

The bible and the koran are mainly plagiarised from the talmud.

Because it is true...

There are so many verses common to the talmud and the bibble in the OT. The koran is a "second generation" plagiarisation as it is close to the bibble.

It is the Bible...and it is not close to anything. I suppose you do not consider the New Testament as part of the Bible?

What do you mean it is not close to anything when it clearly is. Sources, please.

Hey look those muslims are showing us up as being more disciplined in their faith - okay everybody lets copy them...

americans pretend to fast, they have zero idea about what it trulymeans. "Oh okay, I'll take 300 callories out of my 3000K calorie day. I'll skip the snickers bars for a week...but load me up on those biscuits and gravy, Im famished from missing my candy bar...so weak..."

how transparent...
