<quoted text>Peter's primacy is evident from the Bible; his name is always first in the lists of the Apostles (Matt. 10:1-4; Mark 3:16-19; Luke 6:14-16; Acts 1:13). Apostolic Succession was a fact of life in the early Church, as witnessed by the early Christian writings. The primacy of the present Pope is based on faith in Christ's promise, that His Church built on Peter will not be overcome by the power of death (Matt. 16:18; 7:25).
Its not scriptural Nettie ..The early APOSTLES have not been succeeded by anyone..no such thing as APOSTOLIC SUCCESSION..what a fib.

Listen to Paul

All the scriptures you quoted are true and are accepted by me as talking to me...

That is your problem ...

Jesus said he is the son of man that scatters the seed..and the seed is the word..

and the seed lodges in a true and fine heart..but if you have an evil heart the seed is taken away..Tells us a lot about your heart doesn't it..??

<quoted text>The Catholic Church was thriving and teaching and growing long before that. Have you ever wondered how, at the year 300 or so, all Catholic Doctrine was already in place and being taught?
No, you didn't.
Because the Christians already had it together.

Perhaps you can't.
God bless you.
Why should I? It's all in the Bible that the Catholics didn't have squat to do with.

Here is a book you definitely need to read.

OMG.....you have NOTHING so you bash...you really are showing how shallow and hateful your reading the bible and using it to live by really is. Can't defend on your faith....so you bash others for theirs.
You are also a liar when it comes to biblical matters. Maybe you are an uninformed liar that actually thinks you are telling the truth?

And Jesus DID eat fish which is a meat. All Nettiebelle can do is come up with some blasphemous, lying Catholic article to try to prove otherwise and as usual, winds up calling God a liar..

According to Nettiebelle ALL Catholic churces are the same. Are you of a different denomination within the church?

Errr... Nettie never said such a thing. Your reading comprehension is limited by your arrogance and bigotry. The Catholic Church is the body of Christ along with all other Christian denominations that grew out of it. And yes another definition of church is a building used for religious gathering, Get over yourself.
The Catholic church is a blasphemning church that runs on superstition. Protestant aren't a WHOLE lot better however.

Thank you for pointing this out.
I believe I was attempting to say that we do not believe the Virgin Mary takes the place of Jesus.
Well which is it? Either she is a Mediatrix or she isn't. And get this, the nc resident actually has it right. You Catholics ask Mary (really a demon impersonating Mary) to ask her Son, Jesus Christ, to intervene with God the Father on behalf of you Catholics and THAT IS ALSO a LIE.

That's an overview of Roman persecution of Christians prior to 'about 300 AD'. I asked for an overview of Christianity. For example; what was being taught about Christ, when and where? Which teachings are now considered heresy and how were those heresies purged from the church. Stuff like that.
Well duhhhh, genius. The Christians were busy running for their lives from the persecution of the Romans and wrote letters as they could to the various churches. Read the Bible to find out what they said.

For one such as you to think they are so above the "fundies" you aren't really all that intelligent, are you?

It's a bit of a mystery. In my opinion, from a Catholic perspective, the Son is the judge of us all but the Father can grant us mercy. The Holy Spirit, in both the Old Testament and the New, is the voice of wisdom. I pray to the Holy Spirit for things like asking that my prayers be heard, that Deacon will have a good idea how to get some guys car to start, that my ESL class will leave knowing more than when they arrived. Stuff like that.
Those are my opinions but pinning Padre down for an hour was indeed difficult before and now that he's fighting cancer it is practically impossible. He goes to Mexico City every other week for a treatment developed in Germany that is not approved in the USA but he told us after Mass Sunday that the bad stuff is going down. I figure that means T-cells but I don't know for sure.
God bless you.
Just can't understand the Bible, can you?

Prove anything I have said is false. WITHOUT your Catholic Dogma. Let's see just how smart you are. Are you capable of using verses from the Bible to form an answer? And don't use them in a continous line because I believe that is copy and paste also.

<quoted text>Early Christian writings prove the first Christians were thoroughly Catholic in belief and practice and looked to the successors of the apostles as their leaders. What these first Christians believed is still believed by the Catholic Church
Then why isn't that plainly stated in Scripture?

Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

Acts 10:35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

ALL receive the Holy Spirit that repents and accepts Christ as Savior. Your Catholic Church doesn't have a lock on Salvation.
