For someone who thinks they are so much more intellectual than believers you are an idiot. Fear as used in the Proverbs scripture means to hold the Lord in reference and awe.
Does it not use the word "FEAR" as in "FEAR the lord?"

Your argument falls apart the moment you read the scripture, without adding your own little twist to it. There are SEVERAL passages about fearing the lord.

Fear god
According to John, there is no fear in love because "...love casteth out fear..."

I did not write it. I am pointing it out for being a contradiction.

You are like any other cherry picker that tries to use scripture to make your point.
It is sad that from such a divine and perfect book, I am able to find the most blatant of contradictions.

Atheists like you do it to try to prove they are smarter than the believer.
I am not trying to prove anything, you make it obvious with your posts.

And given the questions in the video in the first post. Would you have responded differently? If so, how?

But you always lose.
I am sorry, did you just prove god existed and I missed it?

Events based on an individual is not the same as him giving someone a lump of coal or knowing if someone had been naughty or nice or riding around with Rudolph landing on peoples roofs.
WELL SPOIL EVERYTHING FOR CHILDREN, SCHITT-HEAD!
and what's this about a lump of coal?????

A fool says in his heart that life created itself from nothing before it existed! Then refuses to believe in miracles.
Only a fool says nothing existed!

Also, the oldest known scriptures say "Awe of the Lord", NOT fear.
There's a big difference between awe and fear.

Is that so?

Proof of this please.

Proof that you are never told to fear god. Or that there is no commandment to do so. Or that every place in the bible that states to fear god should be in "awe" of him.

Any 1 of those 3 please.

I am so glad that the world is not only populated with people like you.

Nobody would have stepped outside a cave to look up at the sky to ask: "Why does it rain?"

You guys do have a cute story about rainbows though, don't you?

Luke 12:5

5 But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell! Yes, I tell you, fear him!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear_of_God_%28r...

I am not saying that It is never referenced as "Awe" but don't blanket it as in that's all it says.
