..... If your relatives would have been murdered would you not also show a sad face while remembering them?

If my relatives were murdered, and they were, and my people exploited their deaths by creating holocaust museums for money and by using their deaths as an excuse to go create a holocaust for another peoples, I wouldn't go around parading the sick narcissism of genocidal deaths of one ethnic group.

Here where I live there was the disgusting installment of a Jewish holocaust memorial in our local state university library in our community in which the infamous California Indian Wars were started over genocidal massacre of our local Native Americans where there is no holocaust memorial for them--the Jews getting their memorial instead.

..... I'm sorry, biomystic , that your relatives were murdered, All over the planet all sorts of killings were, and still continue to be, committed despite the fact that many of the killers' religion strictly forbids killing/murders. But if the relatives of victims want to have some memorial - why not, if that somehow helps them reduce/overcome their grief and they pay for it?

Way to throw in the 'religion' card.

It's still one of the most prolific tragedies the world has ever seen. Sad that our world is still so barbaric.

Yes, it is still ONE of the most prolific tragedies but that's no excuse to make it the ONLY one that exploits itself for attention and for justification of the creation of another holocaust, the one the Palestinians have endured for 66 years as their country is taken away from them bit by bit by greedy European Jewish convert descendants, my people Ashkenazim pretending to be "Semites" with this utterly absurd "Right of Return" to a land none of their forebearers ever set foot on.

Do we see any other ethnic group exploiting their genocides like us Jews? No, they move on because that's the psychologically healthy thing to do and really, the Native Americans hold the world's record for mass genocide with Russians coming in second and we don't hear about them creating holocaust theme parks..

..... The Native Americans and the Russians, and others, may also, if they wish, "exploit" their genocides. But probably they have decided that they have different and better ways of using their money.

And perhaps they aren't teaching themselves to be mentally ill by never being able to forgive and move on like everyone else had to do at some point. The Africans have a name for the concept of forgiveness of horrendous crimes of genocide, "Abuntu".the Peace and Reconciliation movement.
