I have not had a perfect life but I have had some perfect days , perfect moments. I thought about this while reading some posts on Topix. A walk in the woods with his dog, planning a long bike ride, news of a brother's surgery gone well, family dinners, children getting married, the arrival of gradchildren and so on. I have enjoyed reading all these posts and sharing in the joy. Perhaps we can all post some perfect days/moments we have experienced.

Perfect moments for me was to find out my children came into the world all in one piece.

Any training run (any training session) where I lose contact with the moment, the pain, all of life's mind buzzing distractions - and drift off to a place where time seems to stop, where my head empties of all directed thought...and I meld into a being of perfect functioning...where my muscles sing and don't moan, where my breathing is life itself.

And when done, I feel cleared and cleansed of all life's worries. My body is stronger for the effort, my vision is as keen as a hawks, sense of smell like a wolf, and where the answers to the Q's I was fretting over simply lay in a line before me. Transcendence.

Ahhhh....a perfect day/moment.

Sitting at the marina with my husband having a cold beer and sandwiches.
Hearing my adult son tell me I am a good mother and he loves me.
Kissing my mother goodbye in ICU.
Every moment I spend gardening.
listening to my youngest daughter tell me all about her day.

perfect moment... circle dog pees on the floor, circles around in it, looks up at me and wags his tail.

Just waking up in the morning gotta thank God
I don't know but today seems kinda odd
No barking from the dogs, no smog
And momma cooked a breakfast with no hog
I got my grub on, but didn't pig out
Finally got a call from a girl wanna dig out
Hooked it up on later as I hit the do'
Thinking will I live, another twenty-fo'

I gotta go cause I got me a drop top
And if I hit the switch, I can make the ass drop
Had to stop at a red light
Looking in my mirror not a jacker in sight
And everything is alright

Called up the homies and I'm askin y'all
Which court, are y'all playin basketball?
Get me on the court and I'm trouble
Last week dunked around and got a triple double
Freaking brothers everyway like M.J.
I can't believe, today was a good day

having a perfect day is great, helping someone Else have a perfect day is greater.

A perfect day is when a sinner gets saved. Washed in the BLOOD, forgiven of all sins, born again into the family of God, becoming heirs through Christ. What a glorious day it was for me, when after many years of rejecting Jesus; I laid all my sins at the cross.

Every day with Jesus is a perfect day! For when there are only 1 set of footprints in the sand, We know that He is carrying us through the storm.

What a friend we have in Jesus:

I woke up to an icy cold house and a siezed up furnace motor. It's toasty warm in here now and that motor is humming along. I put about five hours into that messy project and have one part left over. REAL(tm) mechanics don't worry about left over parts. There were other contibuting factors contributing to another perfect day but they are too numerous to count.

Yeah, but it does make you wonder though, about the extra part, doesn't it?

No. If there are no parts left over you've done something wrong.
REAL(tm) mechanics are oil washed the blood of the Pennsylvanian epoch.

If you have parts left over they were unnecessary and you've thereby improved the engineering.
Now it's Hot-Rodded for better performance.

By the way, I didn't think people needed heaters in New Mexico. ;)
