human conflict: civilization food

The great philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche said that one can imagine at any given moment that the social perception of a divine and authoritative God is dead, simply because the daily grind of suffering and labor only reinforces the value of self-determination.
However, if man is meant to create his own destiny, why do human beings often rely on each other for support and acknowledgment? Perhaps altruism is another word for "God."
The American Civil War is a great example of a historic incident during which all relevant parties engaged in anti-social behaviors and hence confirmed in degrees the fear that humanity sometimes engages in conflict. "To make peace, we must make war," as the saying goes, but how do we negotiate this statement of determination with humility and modest temperance?
Conflict-themed Hollywood (USA) movies such as "Army of Darkness" (1992) and "Freddy versus Jason" (2003) present ideas about human anxieties regarding cooperation failures, failures which challenge humanity's sense of altruism while reinforcing its commitment to understanding wrath.
Are they printing movie posters on hemp/recycled paper yet?
