I am finding that when I now sign on to the topix forum I am being awarded points.Does anyone have any idea what these points are for?

Hoping that when I have enough of these points I can claim a free holiday but somehow I doubt if that's going to happen.

It's a Topix game. More information here.

You can turn off the game, but it still shows collection of points. If you go to certain forums, a border appears around your avatar showing what level you are (unless the game is turned off in your control panel). I turned off the points long ago in hopes the points earned message would disappear, but it did not. I post 99% of the time in the Christian forum, so the game is irrelevant to me too.

Control panel? Didn't even realise there was one. I thought topix was out of control.

Even more so than usual I would say. Do you ever visit here just to 'browse'? Have you seen all the newcomers with their sock puppets?
There are some who believe they are part of this group.

A specialised task force operating from a secret location - ie Kevin's bedroom :-]

Personally I think they are just a bunch of merchant bankers.

I log on now and then and glance at the list of subjects being discussed to see if there is anything I feel able to contribute to but lately there has been little to catch my interest.
Browsing on here can be depressing so I tend not to.
Kevins bedroom? Sounds like a good name for a Harry Enfield sketch.

See where it says "Christian Forum" sorta in the middle top of the screen? Your screen name should be above the word Christian in blue letters. If you click on it, that is where you access all your "options." Then in the left column of options menu you will see the word "settings," click on that. The last item in your profile settings should be a sentence like this: "The game is disabled. Enable" and the the last word is in *blue* letters (in my case "Enable." If you click on the blue lettered word, it will toggle the game off and on.

Good luck and if you want any more help on the control panel just let me know. It is a personal control panel and *certainly* implies no control over/within topix LOL.

Now I always pop a couple of Kalms prior to visiting Topix. Once they kick in you get a nice floaty feeling and don't give a toss. Float, float,float..........where was I? More to the point, where am I? Ah, I remember now....... Yes, Kevin, he is one of the 'marauding'(ROFLMHO) keeper socks.'Kevin' is his actual on-line name. He acts like a less mature version of Harry Enfield's Kevin.

LOL, I see you're in a cheery mood this morning.
I'm taking Kalms as if they were smarties at the mo due to various stresses so I should be well able to cope with topix. And I have to say those tablets really do help but the night time ones seem to cause very vivid dreams for some reason.

Maybe I should browse a bit and see what this Kevin is all about.

Enjoy your floating but be careful where you float. I saw Skeggie was in the news yesterday because what was thought to be a basking shark was spotted off the shoreline.

No, He's not my cup of tea really. We had on a programme about Stoke mandeville hospital. Rob Brydon was in it.

It seems to be more attractive to the trolls who have no life. And for some strange reason it seems that every time I go to some dead end backwater thread, most of the threads award points. But there is nothing being discussed as it's inundated with trolls attacking everyone with a frenzy, trying to get points.
