Brand New Church ( BNC ), the pastor Shannon O'Dell ask the congregation what they want to hear about. He takes a online survey on certain things and ask the congregation what they would like to hear about. Shannon O'Dell never preaches on hell and damnation, just wants to tickle the congregations ears with what they want to hear, that is not teaching truth about God's Word.
Interesting, I have been going to BNC for some time. Our current Series is called "Series from Hell" sounds like hell and damnation to me

KAB: I am not a gossip. When I speak of BNC, O'Dell and the money he cleverly took from Southside Baptist Church, that is not gossip!! It is well known fact. There are hypocrites and false teachers on every corner - and one of the biggest is SHannon O'Dell. He Courts, begs, proselytizes members of others churches, especially those with money or high paying jobs. This is his big game - its all about
money, money and more money. But I notice his big Hummer with the dish on top, has
disappeared - as well as several of the buses - and judging by the Sunday morning crowd
in the parking lot at Bergman, his followers
are diminishing. Maybe, just maybe people
are getting their eyes open to this
fake!
Lisa, whatever you need to think to make yourself feel better. The $ issue may be a well know fact, but I believe you also said "and use it to start his cult in Bergman, AR", and a few other negative statements. Whether it's truth or not your still going on a public forum talking about someone and that IS BEING A GOSSIP!!!!

Let me say this.

YOU PEOPLE need to learn how to use a period.

A comma would be nice, a break in a paragraph would also help.

I tried to read your dribble, but he shear number of text around around what I was reading, lead me to right this.

I have a 1st Grade education, but I still understand that commas, periods, paragraphs exist.

If you WANT what you post to be Read, make it READABLE to a man with a 1st Grade education.

You all are into this run on sentence, I am thinking you have some sort of Terrorist code, that you think is harder to break.

Sorry about your bad luck,
If you want your post read, use the RETURN button.

BUT, I am at maybe you do NOT want your post read, and it is a secret code you have.
Only those that are truly evil would take the time to read your post.

Because I sure as hell am not.

It could also be that you are stupid, but as I only have a 1st grade education, and still use commas, periods and paragraph breaks, it would not be a stupid from lake of learning, but a truly stupid in your soul.
You are truly in your innermost being stupid, that is one of the options.

As I think about it, I have reach the conclusion it is the latter.

Lisa, I'm sure you are telling the truth. Everyone in Northern Boone County knows the truth concerning Southside Baptist Church and O'Dell stealing their funds. Such a sad thing but his game from the beginning was to get his hands on all that money - and he did. But what goes 'round usually comes back to bite you in the hiney.

So, as Christians we just wait and hope God decides to expose the bastard to us openly:

Boone County Court House Clerk's Office shows a suit against Shannon O'Dell by the Dept of Finance, State of Arkansas, for unpaid taxes he should have paid some time ago for the sales of his book, "Breaking all the Rurals." Total he owes the State:$6,353.00 ------ I think the title of the book should have been "I Broke all the Rules" ------Funny there is no mention in his "Wonderful!!" (pun intended) book about taking the thousands of dollars from the little church at LEad Hill, AR. Money must not be filling his pockets like he had planned!!!!!!!!

Please tell me this has been taken care of by the pastor. Surely he would not ask for money on Sunday from people if this were the case.

Sure he'll ask for money from his crowd.....he recently named off members who had not been giving as much as he thought they should.....don't you know this made the crowd feel nice??? By the way, some members quit after this boo-boo!! But once again, it's all about money!!!!

No, he hasn't paid it yet - as of March 21st!! Guess he thinks he's above paying taxes like the common working man!

Another note of interest: WHen Shannon O"dell shops in Harrison, he always tells the clerk he does not have to pay taxes and tries to make them sell merchandise free of the additional tax....He's tried this at several places because I know one store owner who was really "put out" at his insistence to not pay a tax on his purchase!
GOsh, he's such a Fine Christian Fellow (pun intended),

This is Miracle Offering Weekend at BNC. Shannon needs your money. The Hummer is gone; his home is for sale (wants to buy a bigger one); and taxes on the sale of his book have not been paid. Poor Shannon. He needs a Miracle Offering.

Mr. O'Dell should practice what the Bible teaches. I personally couldn't stand before the congregation and preach knowing I had not paid sales tax for my book dating back to 2010. I bet he doesn't think anyone might know about this and thinks he can keep it a secret. Sin always finds its way out!

He always asks for money. Surely he wouldn't expose the fact that he owes 2010 back sales tax on his book to the congregation.

TO anyone about to attend BNC - PLEASE read O'Dell's blog about Miracle Offering Sunday. He states you can make money by having a dance and charging admission: a card game tournament; sell your unwanted items on e-bay; have a rummage sale; ask you neighbors for loose change:and the list goes on and on! He is desperate for money!!!! And that is so plain and simple for anyone to see. From the very beginning, it was then and is now, all about MONEY. And No - he has not paid the Dept of Finance and Adm. for the taxes he has owed since early 2010 - all on the sale of this wonderful (pun intended)"breaking all the RULES" - which he has certainly done!!! Just another hypocrite using God's name to pad his own pocket.

NO, as Christians we say something, We go, hey look at this person, it is not correct, it is not the WAY the TRUTH or the LIFE,
And thieves will react violently and present a front that they have been wronged (you see a Meth Lab and you report it) the Meth Cookers act like YOU DID SOMETHING WRONG.

It is the same trough all levels of Evil,
They shout out that they have been wronged, but in Truth they are not of they Way, the Truth or the Life.

Jesus was pretty sharp is his calling out that the Church at his time was not in the Way, Truth or Life. In fact he called them Vipers and worse, to their face.

Like I said it is the same whether a Meth cooker or an apostate religion or a child molester they all say the same thing when confronted.

BNC also have banners out in front of the church by the highway that reads,
( sleep in on sunday)
Is not sunday the Sabbath,
Exodus 20:8
"Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.
Deuteronomy 5:12
"Observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy, as the LORD your God has commanded you.
Does this sound like GOD wants his church to sleep in on sunday?
Historically speaking, the Sabbath is on Saturday, so yeah, I guess its ok to sleep in on Sundays. The Bible also goes on to say that the sabbath is not for God but it is for Man as we need a day of rest. My question then would be what is more important, taking time every week to set aside and glorify God with fellow believers and reflect on His blessings, or worshipping a specific day of the week?

There is nothing wrong with doing this daily with those in your local body. The thing here is, let's not return to legalism as stated in Col. 2: 16-23
