...Therefore, God's word was the final word on Job. Not Satan's word. Job's wife told Job to curse God and die, but Job was so certain about God that in everything Job went through, Job didn't sin. In another chapter and another verse, Job said, "I KNOW that MY REDEEMER liveth." Now, about all those children he had lost--Job could go to be with them, although they could not come back to be with Job. Job received 10 more children, if I'm not mistaken, so that His treasure in Heaven would be greatly increased, because Job was a righteous man, and still would have made sanctification for the latter 10 as well.(verse 5). Now, if Satan did not have to go through God to get to Job, he would have. But he had to get the permission (or permissable will of God) to tempt/test/try Job. This tells me that Satan has no power over God, as only one example.

So, looking at your next comment about Rev. 19, and what the armies of the devil, etc., are going to do to Jesus, I have to go to Rev. 19 to find the answers, although I could use other books, chapters, and verses, too. Rev. 19 is the subject at hand, for the most part.
Verse 6 says, "And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of might thunderings, saying, Alleluia for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth." He reigns, or He is over all. Job 1 also proved that.
Verse 11 tells us that Jesus "in righteousness" has come to "judge and make war." Verse 13 says, "And His name was called The Word of God." There were armies from Heaven with Him that followed Him. Verse 15 tells us "And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with itHe should smite the nations; and He shall rule them with a rod of iron; and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of God." Verse 16 says, "And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS; AND LORD OF LORDS." In other words, He is above all kings and above all lords.
Verse 18 tells us that the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven will feast on the flesh of kings, captains, and of mighty men, and of horses, etc.
Verse 19 says, "And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him that sat on the horse (Jesus sat on the horse), and against His army." So we have, in Rev. 11 and in verse 19--2 intentions of opposing sides to make war. One, however, was for judgement. That was in verse 11. In verse 19, it was against Him, basically, that came to judge.
Verse 20 says, "And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone." Finally, verse 21 says, "And the remnant were slain with the sword of Him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of His mouth; and all the fowls were filled with their flesh."
Bible prophecy from 2000 years ago and since have been fulfilled and are being fulfilled as I write. I have no reason to believe that the Book of Revelation will not also be fulfilled.
This would put Jesus, the Word, on the winning side of the two armies. Jesus is Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, The First and The Last. He Is, He Was, He Is To Come. He is the Ancient of Days.
"The Earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein." All this creation belongs to God. He will not forever allow it to be marred and stained with sin. In the meantime, He is longsuffering, and waits for man, for whosoever will, to come to Him. He waits!

That's what I think and I am deluded? I don't believe I am deluded. The Roman Empire will be a new and a revived one, but it will be somewhat different than the last one. No spirits can defeat God. "Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world."
Ephesians 6:11 tells us "to put on the whole armour of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." Now, if through God's armour we can do this, most certainly, God is able to. "Is the creation greater than the Creator?" We know we are not--but that God is greater than even we can imagine. Ephesians 6:10 tells us to "be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might."

So you were a Christian before? How serious were you about Jesus? He was definitely serious about you. What happened? To what degree did you accept, believe, and live in Him?

My Messiah has done the same things for all of us in that He (John 3:16) loved us to the point of dying on the Cross for us, for whosoever will." Also in that "He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Even to those who were in judgment in Rev. 19. Jesus would have rather have saved them and had a relationship with them than make war against them.
So, the chance for salvation, through Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection, and God's grace, is extended to us all. Remember--whosoever will! Our faith would dtermine if we will or not, though, as well as our desire to receive Him.
Do you have food? Life? Anyone love you that you love? Every good gift comes from God. Good and bad happen to us all, and it's what we do with what happens that counts.

You know, it's OK that you think I'm ignorant, but please think about what I said. I do care about you and Jesus does, too.

I'll have to finish later, God's will nothing happens, but I'm glad to know I am the Lord's and He is mine. I love Him and I thank Him for all He's done for me--and for you--and for a chance to tell you, the reader, about Jesus. Perhaps, you, the reader, can tell your own experiences with Jeuss, too. If you are only just reading, Jesus loves you. He loves us all. "Just as I am, without one plea, but that Thy blood, was shed for me. Just as I am--I come." No matter who I am or what I've been through, Jesus is great enough to deal with it all. His grace is sufficient for all.

I'm guessing you come from a small rural town (not a crime - it's okay to be from the middle of nowhere) of several hundred to three thousand people... All of you feel the same... Because you can't see the world outside and you're too afraid to take a peek... It's okay... Come on out. We won't bite.
Guess again, a** hole.

I'm not from Fayetteville. No, I was stationed here and stayed after leaving the army because I own rental property in this area. And I've been to Germany, the Middle East, traveled throughout most of the lower 48, been to Mexico once, and have dabbled in Islam, Sufism, Reform Judaism (came close to conversion), and attended services and retreats at a zen center for 3 years (and continue to practice zazen to this day). Oh, and I have an education, my point being that I'm not the bare-foot illiterate country bumpkin that you're implying--however you're certainly a condescending a*s-hole, that's for sure.

And yeah I'll stick to my "primitive beliefs" (that something created us) and practices (honesty, kindness, hard work, meditation, prayer, etc.) as they've served me very well. Funny thing, I've noticed that most whom are lacking in these areas are falling apart--go figure. If this toxic culture of psychotic meth-heads, "baby daddys", and celebrity worship is a product of the "human advancement" which you mentioned, then I want no part of it.

Me, I don't claim to have all of the answers and have openly admitted that we could all be wrong, however I recognize the value of religion and choose to practice as a way of keeping myself in order. And, well, since we currently exist on the side of a spinning ball and aren't quite sure what any of this is about, I've decided to keep my mind open to the possibilities. There ya go.

And while the left handed cantonese speaking duck argument that you lifted from one of the atheist.com websites has its merit, we're talking apples and oranges here. The honest position would be to say "I don't know" rather than "nothing created us"---but of course I'm sure that this would be extremely difficult for you as atheists already know everything, so I understand your position.

And for the record, though I'm not from here, Fayetteville isn't exactly in the "middle of nowhere". Sure, its not exactly NYC (nor a great place to live, either), but its a very diverse military town with a population of 200,000+ and we're doing just fine.

Now run along, I'm sure you have a gay-parade to attend or a hamster waiting to be shoved up your a**.

If 5 mile high block capitals made out of diamonds were used, there would be less chance of misinterpretation.

Delivering "god's message" via babbling damaged people like you will never cut the mustard.

I hate, hate, hate, hate you Christ-loving Christian [email protected]@rds with a flaming passion. You all are the most hateful, close-minded, hypocritical, judgemental pieces of fcking $hit one could ever meet, and it's funny how YOU Christians are so quick to condemn the towel-heads for all the evil that they've done, but YOU Christians are guilty of doing horrible things as well, for example, the Inquisition, burning the "witches," and the genocide of Native Americans.
I also hate, hate, hate, hate, hate God, always have, always will, and he deserves to be hated. I hate God for three reasons. The first one is, I used to pray, pray, and pray, and not once did he answer my prayers, I was ignored each and everytime, and I resented him for that. The other reason I harbor hate towards God is because there's suffering in the world, and God, an all-powerful being who possesses the power to end all the suffering in this world, does absolutely nothing at all, and instead sits back and allows suffering to remain in this world. It's as though he cares nothing for mankind. The last reason I hate God is due to the fact that I read parts of the Bible where God slaughtered millions upon millions of people (himself), he even took the lives of children, and he ordered his followers to take the lives of others as well, and I've come to the conclusion that God is a murderous, infanticial, pro-genocidal, bloodthirsty, immoral, menevolent being.
Well, I love God, Ruthless, and He says to love people...You are people and so I extend that love to you. I have been a Christian for going on 20 years, and there have been times that God did not answer my prayers. And it pissed me off at the time but I still believe in Him. As for the world, don't blame that on God.. It was Adam and Eve that brought that about. THEY are the ones that screwed that up for us. We live in a fallen world because of sin. Jesus even said that we would have bad things that would happen to us. I don't know your marital status, but I have children and I would and will do anything to make sure they are protected, safe and loved. That is what I see in all of the "murderous infantical, etc..that you wrote about. I'm just glad He's on my side (and vice-versa) so I wont have to feel His wrath. I'm good with you not being happy with God, but I do pray that someone could help you see more than just your views. Happy trails...

Given the fact that there is indeed an unseen spiritual world, where the rulers of darkness are working in opposition to the Lord and His ppl, there will be many distractions/attacks....

However God's ppl will remain faithful to Him in the face of the enemy and his opposing followers.
