Well, I am an atheist, and I agree with you, because as I don't believe your god exists, any mass murder and slaughter the world has witnessed has had nothing to do with any deity. It may have been carried out in the name of your god or some other deity, but it is still man's actions and man's alone. Unfortunatly for those who do believe in the biblical god and in particular those of the fundie persuasion who believe every single word of the bible to be absolutely true and irrefutable, the bible does state very clearly that the god they believe in did indeed indulge in mass slaughter and also ordered his followers to carry out acts of mass slaughter and genocide. I have yet to hear a single fundie say that the slaughter of men, women and defenseless children and infants as ordered by the biblical god was wrong, in fact all they ever do is justify such barbarity. Does that mean you don't believe the accounts of your god's acts of slaughter and those carried out at his behest as recorded in the bible? I have never been able to comprehend why anyone would wish to worship such a being!

What is your objective criteria that murder etc is wrong? If God owns the world how could it ever be wrong for Him to do what He deems fit?

If you want to show that the acts of God in the Bible are wrong then you are going to have to show an objective standard-law that is binding on God.

Secondly, since God created the world He can do anything He pleases. No different than when you own something. You can do anything you want with it.

That is total BS. You fundies talk about atheists having no moral compass, you don't even appear to know what having a sense of morality means! The fact that you said owning something means you can do anything you want with it proves just that.

I never said atheists have no moral compass. What an atheist cannot do is to account for it. If there is no God then there is no such thing as objective morality i.e. where something is always wrong.

Christians more than atheists have no moral compass. They believe they are saved thru grace and they're strengthened in their wickedness. They do not believe in even attempting to fulfill the law because they can't keep it perfectly, but nobody can. That's what the Day of Atonement is for.

No. Atheists can live lives with integrity but they can't justify their doing so by their atheism. Atheism as a worldview is bankrupt. It cannot explain anything nor does it inspire people to do great things like sacrificing their lives for atheism for example.
