Yeah, most poor people today are so because they're lazy or drug addicts--I'm talking the bottom of the barrel poor here, i.e., homeless, etc. I'm not so sure that there's any blessing in giving a crack-head a dollar so that he can save towards buying some crack...and I don't think that there's any merit in feeding the homeless when all that your doing, in the majority of these cases, is giving crack heads and heroine addicts fuel to keep living their effed-up life-style--it's called "enabling".
If all of the x-tian soup-kitchens and shelters closed--or if they developed stringent guide-lines to filter out the full-time drug addicts--these people wold be forced to commit crimes in order to survive, which would cause them to go to jail more often and increase the odds that they might get some help.
Alot of people think that their doing a good deed by contributing to feeding the homeless and the like, but really all that your doing is contributing to the problem.
What do you think?

There seems to be an influx of the lowest of the low life psycho trolls on Topix lately.
Maybe they're all coming here hoping to take GS's place as the kingpin psycho troll, now that he's bout ready for the psyche ward.
Exactly. Or, maybe they are aLL GS, the kingpin psycho troll who failed to defend his job.

Not only coined, but applied it correctly to GS=GodSmacked.

Course, if you KNEW GS=GodSmacked, you'd say that, too.

Sad..offers nothing but trolling. Any idea how you bottom feeders are not liked? Can't carry on a discussion? Blame your mother.

The modern Christian says, if it is a Christian principle, we don't want anything to do with it.

A lot of food banks are springing up around the UK now and most are run by the Churches. We support one and I try to buy a few extra bits each week to donate.
Social services refer those in need and for many people now they are proving vital especially as the recession worsens.
I think that it is an excellent thing if those who have enough can help those who are struggling.

Which of course they do when they behave as they do...it's an abomination against Christ what they post...and and abomination against God whom they support.

I'm actually right about this, whether you agree with me or not. About 3 years ago I lived down town almost directly across the street from the salvation army and around the corner for "city recue mission". And while I lived there I got to know many of the people around the neighborhood as well as many of the bums and so forth that lived down town....and, yes, most of these people were crack-heads and heroine addicts. Many of them would spend their days stealing copper, pan-handling, and prostituing themselves for crack money. Some of these people earn good money...and yet they'd go to the salvation army and other local shelters and get their free breakfasts and lunches, and then off they go again, stealing and committing other crimes. It's my nephew--whom is a substance abuse counselor--whom told me that it's a form of "enabling". And then probaly 1/3 of the neighborhood--almost all of them on public assistance--would also go over there to eat. They didn't need the food, but they went anyways because it's free, simply taking advantage of it.

I have no problem with helping people whom genuinely need it, however feeding people so that they can have the fuel to go out and commit crimes and smoke crack is stupid. I can understand your points of view though. I mean, helping them makes white people feel all fuzzy inside, it feeds your egos, however the fact of the matter is that, in the majority of these cases, you're simply feeding someone's crack habit...which makes my point that most of the poor of today aren't like those in Yeshuah's times, there's absolutely no merit in giving a pan-handler a dollar so that he can buy a pint of wine or use it towards buying crack, that's just common-sense.

Bottom feeder? That's rich...

I've seen your (my way or the highway) theoretical discussions...

and tearing you a new azzhole has become somewhat "boring" and "tedious"...

Your petty little stabs at my mother (may she rest in peace) are pathetic at best...

Peace out!

No, what you have seen is my presenting a side of the discussion which no one refutes..they, like you here, just resort to trolling name-calling accusations.

Pathetic. Do you HAVE an opinion on this topic? Some POV you'd like to present? Or are you just trolling?
