Among the most obvious contradictions in the entire New Testament are the conflicting accounts of the alleged temptation of Jesus by Satan.
According to Mark 1:12, Matthew 4:1, and Luke 4:1, immediately after being baptism by John the Baptist, Jesus went into the wilderness where he was tempted by Satan. He remained there for the next forty days during which he successfully resisted Satan’s temptations. However, John tells an entirely different story.

Although the Gospel of John never specifically says that John the Baptist actually baptized Jesus such a thing is strongly implied in John 1:29-34. In John 1:35 we read that on the very next day John the Baptist saw Jesus and visited with him and his disciples. The day after that according to John 1:43-51 Jesus traveled to Galilee where he recruited two new disciples, Phillip and Nathanael. On the third day following John’s baptisms Jesus goes to Cana to attend that famous wedding where he was rude to his mother (John 2:1-4). After the wedding he went down to Capernaum where he spent a few days (John 2:12). Because the Passover was near, he then went onto Jerusalem where he cleansed the Temple (John 2:13-16).

The author of John, who ever that was, obviously had no knowledge of any temptation by Satan during a forty day stay in the wilderness as so vividly described in the synoptic gospels. He ignores it entirely thereby leaving us with the only viable conclusion - the famous story of the temptation of Jesus is just another New Testament forgery pure and simple.

THE BREATHTAKING ABSURDITY OF ISLAM

The breathtaking absurdity of Islam is undeniable. The djinns, night journeys on invisible half-donkeys, angels' aversion to dogs, the sun setting in a muddy puddle, the great crucifixion face-changing, a deity who creates creatures only for the fun of destroying them, a deity who refuses to guide certain of his creations, then instructs the ones who are guided to kill the others, et cetera, et cetera.

There are many reasons why its difficult for people born and brought up mahometan to get away from it, but one of them is the sheer corruption of reason required by islamic beliefs. It is truly doublethink - they are required to hold many many ideas which are mutually contradictory, and to simultaneously believe them, whilst always ignoring the contradictions.
After all that, ignoring archeological and documentary evidence is just a snap, I guess...

You can see why Muslims are such a ready made audience for any conspiracy theory that comes along. To imagine that the Jews and Christians went through all the trouble of rewriting their sacred texts to exclude any mention of Islam requires a remarkable degree of credulity but also fosters a deep suspicion and scepticism concerning an infidel world where such liberties are taken with the historical record. In this they are, of course, projecting their highly developed culture of dissimulation on to others - what they are taught about other religions must make them think they are only doing as they are done by.

You say that John baptized Jesus "is strongly implied in John 1:29-34", Yeah, 40 days earlier, doofus.
