That is one of the downsides of freedom. To be free you must be free from the fear of death.

John 8:36- If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

True freedom is knowing that we have eternal life through Christ Jesus. The Word of God teaches us that we can know for sure that Heaven will be our everlasting home no matter what happens to us.

John 3:16- For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
__________
Romans 3:23- For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 6:23- For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 5:8- But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 10:13-For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 10:9- That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
__________
Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
__________
Romans 8:38-39
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
__________
John 10:27-29
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

No argument there.

Merry Christmas to you too, Nettiebelle. I'm honored to be your friend.

Here, have a meatball sandwich. The folks sponsoring tonight's Posada were prepared for fifty or sixty people and only six showed up with about six kids so I brought back a lot of meatballs an spaghetti. I figured that might happen on Christmas Eve. There were piles of tamales and bunuelos and biscochitos and the menudo was hot. I commented that the menudo was caliente, stove hot, and picoso, spicy. Padre and Jose thought that was kind of funny because the gringo was gobbling it down and they had sweat pouring off their foreheads.

I'm kind of looking forward to meatball sandwiches. I must have had fifty or sixty tamales in the last two weeks. Our hostess wanted to load me up with a bag but I told her no thank you, they're really good but Gloria will complain anyway besides we've got to eat all those albundegas. The tamales were really good, the best since we made those 1500 a few weeks ago. I did bring home a plate of biscochitos which Gloria really likes but I should probably eat them on account of she's diabetic.

God bless you, Nettiebelle.

Thank you and the same to you. Tell you what, I won't rag on you any more until the twenty-sixth. It's not much of a Christmas present but all I got was a 300 piece jigsaw puzzle.

All I've got planned for tomorrow is the ten o'clock Mass. Gloria took off to be with her family but I don't like them any more than she does. I've got to get her going back to church. She knows it's made a world of difference for me but just doesn't think it will do her any good.

I did get her a dozen roses, she really loves flowers, but you've got to promise not to tell her I got a dozen for the altar, too.

Therefore Christian men be sure,
Wealth or power possessing,
You who now will bless the poor,
Shall yourselves find blessing.

I enjoy your futile attempts at ragging on me. My faith is solid as the Rock that keeps me.

Have you ever visited an old fashioned Independent Bible Believing church before? If not, you should give it a try sometime. You may really enjoy it, bring along your KJV bible.

Psalm 18:2- The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

In case I miss you later, just wanted to tell you that I also enjoy puzzles. It was once a family tradition when my kids were younger....get a large puzzle and spend the holidays off and on working on that puzzle.
I could see for an hour looking for a piece that fit and my young son would walk up, pick up three or four pieces instantly, put them in the puzzle (where they fit!) and walk away.
lol
