Well it certainly is the God of Israel who promised that in the last period of time, that he intends to set up a Kingdom, that will never be brought to ruin.
Jesus taught us to pray to our Father in heaven.......for his Kingdom to come...
No disagreement here :)

Food, water, shelter and clothing are necessities. Anything else is extra. So Imma ask again since you keep trying to skate around the issue lol. How can one get the necessities in life without relying on the system or relying on someone else that relies on the system?
Im speaking of here in america of course. Also, just "leaving" the system isnt a viable option dont you think? When people have friends families, activities, hobbies and such currently residing in the system. But dont worry we can get into all of this if you want just answer the question in the quote since 10 has been dodging it like dodgeball lol

<quoted text>No, Fly, you are trying to do that...you're purposely forcing an "equality" based on what you are defining as modern slavery to our economic system. You are insisting that we're all slaves to the system based on ONLY your POV that its true. So yes, you are forcing that point. You're implying it and its easy for us to infer it...
YOU have not - as usual - presented your POV and explained it so the rest of us can decide if your right or wrong in full of part.
You've decided we're all slaves to the system, and thats the end of it. And I call BS on that sort of tactic.
You're stating, "we're all slaves to the system" as a decided upon fact, so therefore we can leap backwards in time to Egypt (anyplace) and say they and we are the same in slave-genus, but maybe not the same exact slave-species.
Its a weak way to play the game...but you seem to love playing it that way.
So for the sake of argument, what do define as a SLAVE to AMERICA?
Not to mention there are EGYPTIANS that had slaves. Like AMERICANS HAD SLAVES.

Are you equaling someone being owned and traded by people is the same as living inside the USA?

Again... AMERICANS owned slaves. Yet you say Americans are slaves. Do you not see the logical problem? One is an ACTUAL slave the other is not.

You need to learn the difference and be honest with yourself.

Wordplay to defend your point of view does not work.

I am not dodging it you are misleading and using wordplay. I have answered your question.

Lets cut to the point.

Was there slaves kin the bible?
Did people buy and sell slaves?
Did it says the slaves were just part of a system?

If slavery in the US was the same as slavery in Egypt as you are trying to depict; Why did Moses have to free them? Why could they not just go when they wanted? BECAUSE SLAVES DON'T HAVE CHOICES AND OPTIONS.

And we are not talking about here in America... we are talking about what is in your bible.

I am sure a definition of a slave is "not willing to move away because of activities and hobbies."

You are trying to refocus the argument rather than just say "yes, there were slaves in the bible.(slaves as in "a man owning another man")

You are trying to put lipstick on a pig.

I meant to quote him not you on an earlier post.

Him attempting to change the meaning of a word and claim its actual meaning is something derived from a form of slang is ridicules.

Please go to the post where I said there were not slaves in the bible.

What I DID say is that YOU are a slave to the system. Which is why you're avoiding questions posed to you lol. Oh yea pick the ONE thing out my quote to focus on. REAL HONEST lol. At the end of the day there are MANY things that force people to remain in a system meant to oppress. We can go on and on but you avoid questions posed to you. So whats the point? NONE.

Items 1-6 (aside from 4) have something in common. They're all reliant on the system. ALL of them. Am I saying that someone should quit their job? Nope. What Im saying is that we are slaves to the system. The SAME SYSTEM that made collecting rainwater punishable by fine in 3 states.
Food, water, shelter and clothing are necessities. Anything else is extra. So Imma ask again since you keep trying to skate around the issue lol. How can one get the necessities in life without relying on the system or relying on someone else that relies on the system?
BTW I never said we were slaves like blacks were. I said, we are slaves to the system. And you havent been doing a good job of showing otherwise
He's comparing apples to oranges where you and I believe "The System" is the same as we are all slaves in a sense.

The christian cult and the bible have nothing in common, they do not bother to read the bible and get pissy when some one quotes the bible to them

I dont think anyone avoided the Q, they simply have not made your point for you. And neither shall I. You're being duplicitous and think a general "Yes" - somehow gives you a win on all the points raised by this slavery to the system issue. By relying on "the system" - of which there are systems within systems - no one is a slave to it, in the manner in which we all define slavery.

Dodge-ball involves throwing the ball back at the other team - which is what I'm doing here...after catching it of course.

BTW, we all just jump-in, its a Q of whether you misread the game, like many posters do. I have not.

You're saying this without defining it. What exactly is the system, what exactly is a slave in said system and how exactly do you know everyone - everyone - is a slave, and if so, are there gradations of slaves...? etc, etc...

You're also offering up a very big idea (implying) that THE SYSTEM has a conscious mind and is actively initiating processes that actively and intentionally oppress-enslave people for The Systems personal end-game. All of which you are not divulging, defining, explaining, etc, etc...

You sound like any of the dime a dozen conspiracists "out there" who make grand claims and even bigger assumptions and never, ever define, and/or explain their basis for making them.

If at the end of the day Mr. XXX owes money on a credit card, and the end results is that he pays $100 for a 50 dollar item (due to interest) and you want to call that slavery - you can. But does it endure a test of analysis, etc ? Probably not. Sure we can call that slavery, but its only in very narrow, mostly slang sort of way.

Were YOU to sit at formal debate table and the topic was human slavery as understood in the Biblical era, and you then went on about this "slavery to the system" today - all without defining terms - you would be shut down by the moderator. End of story.

Either put up or shut up. Expound on your terms, or stop trying to manipulate the convo towards to your narrow end-game.
