It's a pagan symbol for female genitalia.

The Greek word for fish is "ixthus" or "icthus." The Christian fish symbol that many Christians place on their cars is known as the "ixthus."

*What does the Christian fish symbol mean?

*What's behind it?

*Is it relevant today in the free western world?

*Is it relevant today in some eastern nations still closed to the gospel where the church operates underground?

*Why do you exhibit the fish symbol on your car?

*Do you participate in road rage while exhibiting the fish symbol on your car?

*What are your thoughts on any of this?

the fish symbol represents the Age of Pisces (The Piscean Age) which started about 2000 years ago

its what the feeding of the multitude with 2 fish is all about

This is a bit more helpful:

Bull iconography from civilizations prior is also handily explained in this manner.

I think the fish symbol was appropriated before the cross symbol was.

I've got a Darwin Fish instead on my C70.

I've noticed quite a lot of Darwin Fish on cars around here over the last year or so.

Yeah. This stands to reason if we consider the geography of the cultures in which prior usage of fish and cross symbols was common and the geographical origin and spread of Christianity.

regarding the fish symbols and the obvious way that they are used in the gospels...Ive always wondered why an alleged carpenter, was obsessed with the fishing industry...?

why didnt J gather fellow carpenters...? was he a fishing groupie, hanging around the docks...did he find that sort of roughneck male more to his liking..?

I have a feeling J sucked at carpentry...and was told to go fishing because anyone can haul a net...

Does it bother you Christians that every single symbol Christianity has ever used has been borrowed from elsewhere?

the next age is the age of Aquarius

its a bit tricky working out when it starts but something in the order of 150 to 600 years from now
so
age = astrological age
house = star sign/constellation

Luke 22:10
And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.

or

so i guess christians will have to get a bucket symbol for their cars

I agree. I still think the Bible references to fish have something to do with Pices and the use of astrology in religion, which was big, at that time.

the cross is a representation of the solar year marking out the equinoxes

and Jesus is just a personification of the sun on that cross

I think so too. When in Rome, basically, and literally.
