Luke, Chapter 14, 33: So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

YOU HAVE NOT FORSAKEN ALL YOU HAVE AS according to the word of Christ.

Therefore you are not and never have been a follower of Christ.

Because to do that Christ said you had to be His disciple.

And to be His disciple He said you had to forsake ALL that you have.

TO WHICH YOU HAVE NEVER DONE.

Interesting question

In John it says " all those in memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out'

So many ashes are scattered aren't they and not placed in memorial tombs

i have always wondered if not being placed in a memorial tomb, was a sign of unbelief to start with.

but then scripture says , one can give their body over to be burned, but if they have not love, it does them no benefit.

So god says men can kill the body but not the soul..so he promises to rescue us from death ..and we can believe his promise.

"Cremation Sin or Not??"

First answer me whether you're wondering about being cremated or are you scheming about cremating someone else?

That would make a big difference about whether it was a sin or not.

This is my way of thinking about "Cremation". There is nothing in the Bible that say yes or no on cremation, but I look at it this way. The Bible tells us that our body is the temple of God and we are not to harm it in any way. So I believe when the Bible say that cremation is wrong. Now I may be wrong on this and I may not be wrong, but one way or another I leave it up to the each person. But with me I will not have anything to do with "Cremation"....

We both know that man cannot preserve the body, it will rot in a short while and return to dust.
God is more than capable of resurrecting the body whole.

The bodies of the dead must be treated with respect and charity, in faith and hope of the Resurrection. The burial of the dead is a corporal work of mercy; it honors the children of God, who are temples of the Holy Spirit.
(Book of Tobit 1:16-18)

Autopsies can be morally permitted for legal inquests or scientific research. The free gift of organs after death is legitimate and can be meritorious.

The Church permits cremation, provided that it does not demonstrate a denial of faith in the resurrection of the body.
