Of course it's because they don't understand the bible,(nor do they want to), but they will never admit to it. Before you think I am being too hard on them and should show Christian love toward them let's see what God Himself says about them.

Psalms 53:1 The fool hath said in his heart, "There is no God." Corrupt are they and have done abominable iniquity: There is none that doeth good.

Now, while even we as Christians are not "good" in the sight of God this verse is evidently talking about something else entirely. Since I have been on Topix I have seen the atheists do nothing but bash and ridicule believers even to the point of being vicious. They have no knowledge of God and hate those who do. The word "fool" in that verse means this. It can be looked up in Strongs Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible It also has the dictionary of the Hebrew, Greek, Chaldean and Aramaic words that the English words came from.

5036 Fool... nabal naw'-bawl= from 5034; stupid; wicked (espec. impious):-fool (-ish,-ish man,-ish woman), vile person

5034 nabel, naw-bale'; a prim. root; to wilt; gen. to fall away, fail, faint; fig. to be foolish or (mor.) wicked; causat. to despise, disgrace;- disgrace, dishonour, lightly esteem, fade (away,-ing), fall(down-ling, off), do foolishly, come to nought, surely, make vile, wither.

That is the Hebrew definition of the word fool, as it was defined in the times it was used. Don't get mad at me, get mad at God. HE said it.

As for being an atheist, I might as well be, since you believe there is no "right" god but your particular brand. Fundies treat atheists, agnostics, and pagans pretty much the same. You are no exception.

And what total disregard for everything Christianity is SUPPOSE to stand for. Your religion may be a joke to begin with but if you can't even muster up and do what little is required, that only makes YOU a bigger joke.
