Mark 7:19
19 For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.”(In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.)

We have all read Mark 7:19 and folks think they can eat whatever they want because of what man-kind put in (parenthesis). Jesus didnt declare all foods clean because there is no way a Jew would go and tell others to break Gods commands and eat whatever they want if it went against scriptures.

We need to read the bible in its context to get the real meaning of verses.

Matthew 15 & Mark 7
-Were about the disciples eating with unwashed hands and that a person cannot be defiled by not washing there hands before they eat. Jesus would not tell them to stop putting aside the commands of God and follow the traditions of men and turn right around and tell them it is now okay to put aside the commands of God and you now have a free ticket to eat unclean foods now.

Romans 14
- Is about not judging one another and the whole issue Paul was talking about is fasting and the feast days, not about eating whatever or Saturday/Sunday worship.

Acts 10
-Peters vision with the clean and unclean animals was about not calling gentiles unclean and has nothing to do with eating whatever you please.

Col 2:16
16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.
-Is saying do not let anyone judge you for keeping the sabbath and feast days, not dont let anyone judge for for breaking Gods commands and eating whatever you please.

1 Timothy 4:3-4
3 They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,

-God gave a list of foods that were meant to be eaten as food in Lev. And again there is no example in the bible any where in which Jesus, Paul, Peter ate pork/shrimp or any unclean animal and then told others it is okay to do so as long as you pray over it. They would have been labeled false teachers for going against the scriptures.

-There is no way something can be labeled as unclean for 4000+ yrs by God and the very next day when Jesus dies on the cross it is now clean. Think about it folks that makes no sense as no one would eat a rat, horse, snake, or racoon and say Jesus declared all foods clean, so eat away.

Our bodies are temples so we need to eat much better and all these sick and shut in list at churches will go down.

Actually you make a good point and are correct. If you look at those verses in there context, the bible doesnt say the dietary laws were abolished, its just Christians just twist and manipulate and take those verse out of there context to make it fit their convenience so they can eat the unclean foods the bible says not to eat.

How about you contribute something to the actual topic and stop running around like a sissy changing your name and just causing trouble on every topic you see.

16 There are six things the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,

19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

Verse 19 is you all over these Topix forums

Dont forget verse 18. He seems quick to devise wicked schemes on people claiming he will send evil spirits lol. Not that anyone (I would hope) is worried but its still him devising evil schemes

Why do you deny the power of God?

Jesus conquered death by dying on the cross.

Jesus descended into sheol freeing the people waiting in the bosom of Abraham and opened the gates of Heaven to them, then on the third day Jesus rose again in fulfillment of the scriptures.

The resurrected Jesus walked and talked among the apostles and 500 disciples, he created cooked fish and loaves from nothing.

And you question Jesus Christ's ability to declare foods clean?

Gimme a break!
You are an unworthy heathen. A Philistine.

Then why aren't you observing the Jewish feast days--or are you. You can't live by part of the law, such as the food laws and then declare everything else null and void. The food laws do not apply to Christians. If you want to live under the law, then go ahead.

WHy cant anyone show where Jesus said he abolished the laws or said not to follow them? Did he even hint at such a thought?

Do you understand The Law of the Decalogue, or The Ten Words, as being different from The Law of Moses and the resultant Pharisaic laws that expanded disproportianately and were struck down by Jesus?

How did Jesus answer the scribe who asked, "Master, what are the greatest commandments"?

How are the 10 commandments different from the law of Moses? Why didnt you answer my question as well? My question was "Why cant anyone show where Jesus abolished the law?" What Jesus said was that he didnt come to do away with the law but fulfill. And that till heaven and earth passed, not one JOT or TITTLE would pass from the law. What changed?
