What is hell?

Those in hell are unconscious and so cannot feel pain.“There is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol.”—Ecclesiaste s 9:10.

Good people go to hell. The faithful men Jacob and Job expected to go there.—Genesis 37:35; Job 14:13.

Death, not torment in a fiery hell, is the penalty for sin.“He who has died has been acquitted from his sin.”—Romans 6:7.

Eternal torment would violate God’s justice.(Deuteronomy 32:4)

When the first man, Adam, sinned, God told him that his punishment would simply be to pass out of existence:“Dust you are and to dust you will return.”(Genesis 3:19) God would have been lying if he were actually sending Adam to a fiery hell.

God does not even contemplate eternal torment. The idea that he would punish people in hellfire is contrary to the Bible’s teaching that “God is love.”—1 John 4:8; Jeremiah 7:31.

My back and knees are killing me. It's the price I pay for having evolved an upright gait. Nevertheless, I am thankful for that since it is nothing in comparison to Jesus Christ carrying the sins of the world on his hack.

Thursday and Friday I helped set up the little shops to sell all kind of Mexican food for the fiesta. Then, yesterday morning, there was all kind of heavy lifting, and as if that wasn't enough, I took a three hour sting controlling traffic, that's basically turning a 'STOP/SLOW' sign back and forth to stop the cars or the pedestrians. I'll tell you what. Just standing in one place for three hours is very painful. Today was pretty much the same except this afternoon there was all kind of lip-sync entertainment, pretty hilarious but still lip sync. It's no accident I had three Karaoke tunes on a CD so I borrowed a cowboy hat and sang three songs.

Morena la Causa Fuiste

Fifteen minutes later I was back at the crossing for the second hour and a half assignment today.

They say I sing well but I suspect they leave off the part about 'for a gringo'. There were not all that many in attendance with Hungarian surnames and Rogelio, the master of ceremonies, wanted to get the pronunciation right so I spelled it out for him. I told him to just call me 'El Gringo', which he did, but he also correctly pronounce my name. I think I'll go back and check out the tostadas. I kind of doubt my feet and back can handle the dance floor but a few shots of Tequila should fix that.

God bless you.

I forgot the words to 'Morena la Causa Fuiste' so I sang the three verses twice. I doubt anyone noticed or cared if they did.

..... Hell and Heaven are literary constructs. I have not seen any proof that they exist. Have you?

Hell is a fictional place dreamed up by a bunch of goat herders thousands of years ago.

It is used to scared little children and adults into believing in a fairy tale book full of violence, bloodshed and other whimsical ideas that may have suited people living 2,000 years ago.

The is also gnashing of teeth there

Is it? Sad part is that 'fairy tale' book didn't show for 400 yrs...kind of puts a 'proverbial dent' in your theory huh...

Not really.

What evidence do you have that hell exists?

I don't have any that is doesn't but common sense then comes into play. Do you believe in the tooth fairy, Santa or the Easter bunny? I would hope not but the ideas are no more absurd.

Yes it really does.

You mock what you don't know.
You belittle people who don't believe as you.
Your worn out statement of "What evidence do you have..." is just that...

I have more than enough evidence that GOD does exist.

You just don't see it...
