Christianity & Islam the SAME religion ?

The differences btw them seem to be not much greater than the differences between different sects within them.

Should they even be regarded as seperate religions at all then.

nonsense. Clearly you have NOT studied either one too closely...only the most casual read would cause one to equate them...

But as for Sectarianism...Xtianity has and sometimes still shows some of the same enmity - like between Protys and Catholics and Protys and Mormons (see a trend? Protys are the least tolerant, IMO) etc...but they stopped attacking each other physically a long time ago...not so much with Muslims. They have not matured into modernity and in fact have turned into a completely different type of peoples where Fanaticism and Extremism has taken basic control of the Religion - and has caused a mind-set, and Sectarianism that is even more backwards than most Religious groups have ever exhibited...even Xtian-dom as a whole and at its worst, ever thought that advancement in the sciences and technology was a thing of Satan. Like a direct manifestations of Satan - like many Clans of Islam have and still do. Where a radio is a actual device of Satan, or a kite is an affront to God.
