Amen, it's all about the BLOOD. That perfect, cleansing, sinless, atoning BLOOD!
1 John 1:7- But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
----------
1 Peter 1:18-19
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
----------
Colossians 1:14- In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
----------
Hebrews 13:12- Wherefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered without the gate.
----------
Hebrews 9:11-12
11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Amen. The use of a water ceremony or ritual to cleanse of from sins, is of purely pagan origin.

Yep. Not one time after Jesus preached to the public, did He command them to run to the nearest lake or river and get baptized. It was their FAITH that made them whole, right there on the spot. Example after example throughout the Gospel accounts, was always FAITH that made the sinner whole/saved.

As I said,I'm not going to do this today.
Less than about an 1 1/2 I have obligations to fulfill.
As for the rest,I leave you with this...
If it weren't for the hostile bigotry and the vile corruption that those like you so gallantly express towards others and you actually acted like a true Christian then there would be no need to correct you because a true Christian does not behave like lions.

<quoted text>Not saying you did. IMO Getting Baptized is a ritual that shows that you have accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. If you truly know what that means, having your sins washed away is just a part of that glorious package and you dont have to have no water splashed on you or be dunked in a river to have your sins forgiven. None the less, The ritual of getting baptized is a traditional and spiritual celebration that will always be a part of the Christian community.

You need to wake up. There is nothing wrong with what you label the Christian fundamentalist. Like you are a bad apple to the catholic faith, you take the actions a few bad apple groups or people labeled Protestant Christian and classify the entire sect.
If you are truly a Catholic, then why are you here on the CF defending your faith? Why dont you go to the other CF (Catholic Forum) and spread your love of your religion? Why? I know why and so do you. But its not the right thing to do. COntinue on Nettie you are only hurting yourself having to live with hate towards folks of other non catholic Christian religions.
Your Chioce!
"Hojo" has that corner on the Catholic Forum.. He repeats the same Catholic theology over & over & over again, just like Nettie does.

The pagan emperor Constantine, who was instrumental in bringing the power and authority the RCC now enjoys, left instructions to wait until he was on his deathbed to be baptized by a priest. He falsely believed, thanks to the Pharisees of Catholicism, he would be saved by doing so.

5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,
We are all mediators if we pray for another person, or if we ask another person to pray for us, then that person is a mediator.

The Virgin Mary is not our mediator to God, we ask for her prayers for us to her Son, Jesus.

Matthew 28:1620:

Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshiped him: but some doubted. And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. <quoted text>Laci, no one can use the Bible to determine who is going to heaven, period.
God is not bound by any scripture; God can grant salvation to any soul He sees worthy of it.
Surely, you at least can recognize this fact that God is the Authority, not the Bible.
But God IS bound by His words and laws. He cannot violate them. He is not us.
That is why only via Jesus Christ can He both just and justifier.

Yes, it will only be Jesus who will be found worthy to open that book. My dear Catholics, if Mary were truly without sin, why is she not mentioned as worthy to open that book?

Isolating a passage to suit your theory as usual. But, you did just prove that contrary to your humanist ideals, a Buddhist, Muslim Hindu, etc cannot be saved without doing what Jesus commanded. Thank you.

So, Jesus was sinning when he took a whip, flipped over the moneychangers tables and chased them from the Temple?
You do not know the true Messiah, bub.

uh-oh. Your getting so desperate, you are resorting to a notorious heretic, so deemed by the RCC?
