Topix has reached a new low. A person posts news of the death of a close family member, and some creature trashes that post and a post expressing condolences, with negative icons. It is difficult to understand how some people can be so consumed with such hatred. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour!

Dad died at age fifty-two, as did Mary. It was kind of an unofficial family milestone to outlast him. Five have. One has not.
God bless you all.
I'm so sorry 15th...I only came by Topix today to check on you and your sister...and will continue to pray for you and your dear family. God bless you 15th....He is with you.

No, "it" sinks even lower when after giving Nettie negative judgeicons, goes on to attack your condolences.

Do not disrepair. Released from her earthly suffering, her soul is now free and unfettered to go on exploring the great mystery.

Of course we all realize just how spineless this person is, and that there is no chance of them showing themselves from behind their computer. Cowardly low life scum doesn't even begin to describe them!

If there is an afterlife and we are held accountable for our thoughts and actions I think the 15th will have a lot less explaining to do than you. If I were not an agnostic my prayers would sooner go for you than the 15th because I would guess that you would need them more.

While I may wonder at what made some of the fundies here so messed up, the psychotically evil ones like the "doc", I really don't want to go down that dark path.

I'm very sorry for your loss, Dalai. I searched on-line for something that might be of comfort to you, and found this.......

Say not in grief "she is no more", but live in thankfulness that she was.
Hebrew proverb

And this .....

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a 1,000 winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sun on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled light
I am the soft star that shines at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there; I did not die.

As always, you're in my prayers.

Many people today have believed a watered-down gospel that away with the message of repentance of their sins. They want to believe in a loving, nonjudgmental God who requires no repentance and no change in their lifestyle. They may say things like, "I believe in Jesus Christ, but my God is not judgmental. My God would never send a person to hell." But we cannot have it both ways. If we profess to be Christians, we must recognize Christ for who He said He is--the one and only ways to heaven. To deny that is to deny Jesus Himself, for it was He who declared, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6)....

The question still remains: who will actually enter into God's kingdom? How can you guarantee your eternal destination? The answer to these questions is seen in the clearly drawn distinction between those who have eternal life and those who do not. "He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life" (1 John 5:12). Those who believe in Christ, who have accepted His sacrifice in payment of their sins, and who follow Him in obedience will spend eternity in heaven. Those who reject Him will not. "Whoever believe in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's on and only Son"(John 3:18).....

Yes, all demons demand blind obedience, and give false promises in return for this blind obedience.

And anyone who believes that lie, and does NOTHING to spiritually evolve enough to EARN the PRIVILEGE of entering Heaven, will FAIL their judgment.

You say Heaven is a privilege. God says it is a gift. Hmmmmm. Now, who should we believe?

Well, since your demonic "god" is imaginary, that leaves me.
