When America's founders face challenges they often had the wisdom and insight to call for a national day of prayer. America is facing challenges today that, in many ways, rival anything since the start of World War Two.
There is a concerted effort to redefine marriage as any union between people, regardless of sex, possibly even regardless of the number of participants in that union and possible even regardless of the blood relationship between them.
America continues to about unborn babies by the millions and now has moved further in the direction of euthanasia on both ends of the life spectrum-possible even making it matter of national, state-controlled health-care mandates.
American foreign policy seems directionless, no longer with the primary concern being national security, but in fostering and fomenting change for the sake of change and breaking down the barriers of national soverenty.(PART ONE)

The National Day of Prayer is not just for fundamentalists:
Observance

The National Day of Prayer is celebrated by Americans of many religions, including Christians of many denominations, such as Baptists and Catholics, as well as Sikhs, Muslims, Hindus, and Jews.[5] On the National Day of Prayer, many Americans assemble in prayer in front of courthouses, as well as in houses of worship, such as churches, mosques, synagogues, and temples.[6] Luncheons, picnics, and music performances revolving around praying for the nation are also popular observances.[7] Traditionally, the President of the United States issues an official National Day of Prayer proclamation each year as well.[8]

The definition of marriage has changed much over time and no, the present situation does NOT include marrying a relative or polygamy.

The laws of abortion are now over 25+ years old at least.
Perhaps they should be altered, but the fact is that abortion laws are here to stay simply because this is viewed as a right of an individual.
Perhaps you, as a 'pastor', can do something to help all those countless unwed mothers whose father of their unborn has skipped town or perhaps help all those orphaned children whom no one seems to want.

As for Euthanasia, I am not aware of this being legal.
Lots of citizens question foreign policy.
YOUR vote, YOUR activity within your own community; YOUR support of our government and our Constitution play a big part in the efforts to keep America strong.
One of your problems seems to be, IMO, that you have this strong need to control the rights of others.
This is a problem right here, at home in the U.S.(never mind foreign policy) and YOU could, if you really wished to be a strong U.S. citizen, stand up and say that 'Yes, I support equal rights for ALL citizens'.

The choice is yours.

Matthew 21:22
King James Version (KJV)
22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

John 16:23

John 14:13
King James Version (KJV)
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Matthew 18:19
King James Version (KJV)
19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

John 15:16
King James Version (KJV)
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

We unfortunately, have ignored Our Founding Father's Warnings. As a result, America is rejecting God's headship over our nation through the Hearts of America's People, the Leaders We Elect, the Laws we Pass, and Activist Court Decisions....
Desensitizing of America:
Things that once appalled us now have become commonplace. We have heard so much evil that it doesn't bother us anymore. Even Christians have fallen pray! Isa. 6:9 urges Christians to use their Christian senses, lest they too become desensitized.

Accepting The Humanists Agenda:
America is no longer guided by Christian principles. Secular humanism now directs the public affairs of our nation. This philosophy denies God, Christ and the Bible. When we remove God's standards, then man is free to substitute his own standards of morality and we disallow the divinity of Christ and His completed work on the cross. Then there is no longer any need for God and His atoning grace. The moral compass points to what is right in the eyes of each individual without respect to God's standards.
God's word in Judges 21:25 says, "In those days every man did that which was right in His own eyes." Is that a description of our country today? Many people today do their own thing without regard to God's will. The question is asked, "Isn't one person's values as good as another's?" Many in our society, including some Christians, believe the answer to this is, "Yes"....

Never before in the history of our country has America face a moral crisis like the one before us today. I really don't need to go into detail, because all true Christian knows this.
The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only hope for restoration-the Lord Jesus Christ. If we are to see real change, it will come only by the grace of God's mercy
That's why I am urging everyone in the strongest way I know to join me during July for a month of earnest prayer for our country, our churches and our families.
The sobering fact is...we can't expect God to act unless we are willing to act...with no pretenses or "going through the motions" kind of prayers. If we will sincerely and humbly bow ourselves to God in prayer, he has promised to hear us and to heal us (11 Cor. 7:14).

Now THAT is >>>FUNNY<<<! !!

"we can't expect God to act unless we are willing to act..."

Then >>>ACT<<<!

>>>DO<<< something to make the world a better place.

Don't just sit there talking to yourself and expect your imaginary "god" to do things FOR you. Get off your lazy self centered azz and DO something to help others.

>>>ACT<<<, get things done yourself.

You can pray that a homeless man gets enough food to survive, and he will DIE of starvation.

Or YOU could go give him the food he needs, and he will LIVE.

How are times worse than they were when slavery legal? And, why does you god approve of slavery if he is a loving god and creator.
Did he make some people inferior to others? To be slaves? This is the reasoning those godly forefathers and citizens of the south gave for keeping slaves. So you have to believe that slavery is OK if you believe everything in the bible is the inspired word of god. So,your bible says homosexuality is an abomination and it approves of slavery. Therefore you cannot believe the one and reject the other.

Exodus Chapter 21, verse 1: Now these are the ordinances which you shall set before them. When you buy a Hebrew slave, he shall serve six years, and in the seventh he shall go out free, for nothing. If he comes in single, he shall go out single; if he comes in married, then his wife shall go out with him. If his master gives him a wife and she bears him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall be her master's and he shall go out alone. But if the slave plainly says,'I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free,' then his master shall bring him to God, and he shall bring him to the door or the doorpost; and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl; and he shall serve him for life. Exodus Chapter 21, verse 20: If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property. Leviticus Chapter 25, verse 44: Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property. You can will them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life, but you must not rule over your fellow Israelites ruthlessly. Colossians, chapter 3, verse 22: Slaves, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing the Lord. Whatever your task, work heartily... Titus, chapter 2 verse 9: Bid slaves to be submissive to their masters and to give satisfaction in every respect; they are not to be refractory, nor to pilfer, but to show entire and true fidelity.
