mortal thoughts

"The Arabian Nights" is a collection of Middle Eastern fables that includes a story of a naive fisherman who foolishly wishes for a genie to grant unbelievable wishes only to discover that the wishes come at a terrible price for tempting fate.

This story reminds humanity of the way fears regarding lust and greed evoke emotional thoughts about loss of self-control.

Loss of self-control inevitably reminds human beings of aspiration frailty. You prepare for a risky wedding day and imagine that your bride will doubt her love for you and run away unfaithfully with another seductive man.
