Scripture: Malachi 3:10, "bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." This is something that most Preachers will not talk very much about in church. Why, because they aren't very much of a Preacher never let the "people" in your church control your church. At my Church that God give me, God is in control not me or the people. I tell the people if you don't give you will put a curse on yourself and your family that is Bible. What is your thoughts on this, and back it up with the word of God please....

If you put yourself under the law then you are cursed if you fail to do all that the law requires. What do you teach about tithing? What scriptures do you use to support what you teach?

There is six part of "Tithing" and more to talk about, let us start with the six parts...
(1) Duty (Genesis 14:20) (2) Fear (Malachi 3:9) (3) Honesty (Malachi 3:9) (4) Ownership (Leviticus 27:30) (5) Partnership (1st. Corinthians 3:9) (6) Blessing (Malachi 3:10)
Its better to give then to receive, be a cheerful giver. Spiritual people are Tithers, love is the best reason for Tithing. Tithing shows where your heart is with the Lord and just how much of a Christian you are!

First, I need to know how you define "tithing".
Some pastors teach that Christians are required by God to give ten percent of their income to the local church.
Is that what you believe/teach?

Deuteronomy 14:22–29 You shall tithe all the yield of your seed that comes from the field year by year. And before the Lord your God, in the place that he will choose, to make his name dwell there, you shall eat the tithe of your grain, of your wine, and of your oil, and the firstborn of your herd and flock, that you may learn to fear the Lord your God always. And if the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry the tithe, when the Lord your God blesses you, because the place is too far from you, which the Lord your God chooses, to set his name there, then you shall turn it into money and bind up the money in your hand and go to the place that the Lord your God chooses and spend the money for whatever you desire—oxen or sheep or wine or strong drink, whatever your appetite craves. And you shall eat there before the Lord your God and rejoice, you and your household. And you shall not neglect the Levite who is within your towns, for he has no portion or inheritance with you. At the end of every three years you shall bring out all the tithe of your produce in the same year and lay it up within your towns. And the Levite, because he has no portion or inheritance with you, and the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, who are within your towns, shall come and eat and be filled, that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands that you do.

Hi, Preacherman. May I ask if the churches you minister to publish a monthly financial statement for the members listing all incoming and outgoing money, as well as salaries?

3:33 pm, Tuesday, August 30, 2011: RE: tithing?? ..... Tithes is/was the equivalent of what these days we call taxation. There are costs involved in running religions, as running any business, and to keep them going there must be enough money coming in on a regular, predictable basis. ..... At the same time the leaders of religions' must make sure that their customers always feel that customers' money is/was well spent, the sales literature is sufficiently enticing, and that it is worthwhile coming again and again.

Good reference. And let's not forget these: Gen 14:18 ¶ And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he [was] the priest of the most high God. Gen 14:19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed [be] Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: Gen 14:20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all. Lev 27:30 And all the tithe of the land,[whether] of the seed of the land,[or] of the fruit of the tree,[is] the LORD'S:[it is] holy unto the LORD. Lev 27:31 And if a man will at all redeem [ought] of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth [part] thereof. Lev 27:32 And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock,[even] of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD. Additionally: Numbers 18 2 Chronicles 31 Nehemiah 10, 12, and 13 Amos 4

And Deuteronomy 26:12 I couldn't remember if you posted that already
