Did she believe she could become "like GOD"? Sounds like an ego issue.

How about you explain what it is you mean? Put your (silly) question in some sort of context.

Ego as we understand it (do you understand what it is?) is a relatively modern, and very western concept, and an unknown idea in the Levant when the wandering, herding, pillaging Jews were creating their myths.

And from what sources would any one "know" the answer? The Bible? FYI, it provides absolutely zero content as to what Eve or Adams actual mind-set would have been.(if they had minds, as they didn't actually exist.)

Well, the Bible that I read says that the serpent's argument to lure Eve was that she and her husband (? I don't know if the text means that the serpent was saying to her that she would become as a god or that she and her husband would become as gods) would become "as gods." It also says that she "saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise."

I wanted to know from maybe someone who is a scholar or scholarly who might know the Hebrew and would know if the Hebrew words meant anything to do with ego issues...

Eve was a victim of mind manipulation with the intent to confuse her. Rationalization process of a brand new human would not have been developed.
