Peace,

...I heard a preacher say that the Jews believe that Jesus is in hell burning in excrement. He said that that is what the Talmud says. I guess one can read the Talmud for his/her self, but I wanted to ask Jews this: Was the work of Jesus of Nazareth of God or of men? If the Jews do believe that Jesus is in hell burning in excrement I would have to say that that is a STRANGE belief, even though I'm not a Christian.

So Jewish Sir or Ma'am, was the work of Jesus of Nazareth of God or of men?, and, do you believe that Jesus is in hell burning in excrement? I hope that no serious hostilities result from these questions. I'm only asking to seek at the truth of things.

Peace and Blessings to you,

.
The answer is in the Talmud. If a Jew believes in the sayings of rabbis, of which it says where Yeshua is now, then it only follows they would believe the Talmud in why he is there. It says he did miracles by witchcraft, which is also what the NT says they said of him.
Mat_12:24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
.
Why don't you take off the mask and state your true intentions.
.
You would be more respected than what you are currently doing.

Well, I don't have any mask on, Sir (lol) and I don't see why you want to resort to personal attacks.

I figured that Jews do believe that Jesus "is in hell burning in excrement" but it just sounds so STRANGE to have that as a religious belief. So are you saying "yes, they/we believe that (that he is in hell burning in excrement)"?

Are you a Jew? and are you saying that his work was of men?

Shalom Aleichem (Peace be unto you.)

The mask you have on is twofold:
1. You are hiding your own religious beliefs.
2. You are posing as someone wanting answers when you have no intention of listening to others.
.
Don't take it as a personal attack as I doubt your feelings are hurt. Own up to what you are doing and come into the light so to speak.
.
Also if you want to know Jewish beliefs, why are you posting this in the Judaism forum instead of the Christian forum?
.
Judaism in not monolithic, there are many sects of Judaism. Karaites for instance do not believe in the rabbinic writings such as the Talmud. I would doubt Reform Jews believe in it either (for the most part). Messianic Jews don't believe it is inspired in entirety although there may be inspired passages. So the answer is if a Jew believes the Talmud is scripture then off course he would believe that passage.
.
No I'm not a Jew (that I know of).
.
I do not recognize the Talmud as inspired scripture although I would concede there may be inspired passage in it. The one you reference is certainly not one of them.

Peace,

Lol I have to say that I resent being charged with having a mask on. I don't want to discuss my religion because it is a religion that I think would be misunderstood. I don't think "hiding" is the right word for what I'm doing with my religion. "Hiding" has a connotation that is not applicable. I have every intention of listening to others...are you saying that you are God, knowing what is in my heart? I resent you charging me with "having no intention of listening to others" in the public, liar.

So you affirm that the Talmud says that Jesus is in hell burning in excrement?

I asked in the Christianity forum because though I sincerely wanted answers to my questions I wanted the questions to be answered in front of Christians, because so many Christians love to extol the Jews.

In other words you are afraid.
.
What does your religion say about quoting texts of other religions to make others look bad?
.
What does anything written in the Talmud effect how I am to relate to Jews?
.
What good can come of your race baiting?

Lolololol. No, Sir/Ma'am, I am not "afraid." There is no fear in my choice not to name my religion. I am just pretty sure that it would not be understood. My choice is scientific, not emotional.

My religion does not disallow asking others about their beliefs. I am NOT trying to make any person look bad. My posts should not be taken personally for they are not personal attacks. They are attacks against falsehood and confusion.

I think that if the Talmud says that Jesus is in hell burning in excrement, that fact could be ENLIGHTENING to others.

I'm not sure what you mean by "race baiting," but I discuss Jews sometimes because I hear so many Christians frequently extolling the Jews and I believe that the special extolling of them is not good.

Peace.

What's wrong with extolling Jews?

Peace,

I believe that it is wrong to extol them because they are antichrists...That is they deny that Jesus is the Messiah (1 John 2:22-23)...

If no one comes to God but through Jesus and they deny Jesus then in doing so they deny the Father.

Since you are not a Christian, you are also an anti-christ.

No Sir; I don't deny Jesus, nor do I deny that Jesus is the Messiah. Other people believe in Jesus other than Christians as the New Testament says (Mark 9:38-39.)

It is the Jews who deny that Jesus is the Messiah, and anyone else who denies that Jesus is the Messiah, who are antichrists.

I left the religion that I was a member of yesterday but that religion allows acknowledgment of Jesus as the Messiah.

I believe that was of men.

Are you a Jew? If you are a Jew, do you believe that the work of Jesus of Nazareth was of God or of men?

I'm asking because I hear so many Christians frequently extolling the Jews when the Jews not only disbelieve that Jesus was the *Son* of God, they disbelieve that he is the Messiah. I would like to have a conversation about those two facts in front of a Christian audience so that we can see if the Jews deserve to be as extolled as they are by the Christians.

I dont adhere to Judaism and am not aware if I am a son of Judah so I'll go with "no" Im not a Jew for the time being. I do believe in following the law given to Israel though. And I also believe in their God.

But to answer your question, I believe ALL power comes from God. I also believe God can send false prophets to test Israel/people. Do you believe this?

These people we casting out demons (doing good work that couldn't be done without the power of G-d), not denigrating other peoples faith and stereotyping. Yeshua said you must be born again, not acknowledge Him as Messiah.(Many will call Him Lord in that day and be cast out). It seems from your actions you re a foolish virgin. You know (I think) the bridegroom is coming but you have no oil in your lamp.

No religion will save you, you must be indwelt by G-d Himself, that is what being born-again is.(John chapter 3).

Time out for a verse from the Atheists book.
Your Mother and Father brought you into this world..Not God
Your demise will be decided by fate..Not God
You are on earth for one reason, and for one reason only, to procreate, and when your time is up you will be placed in the ground, or in an urn as ashes in exactly the same as the billions and billions of others who were on the earth before you and have died.
There is no Judgment. You have served your purpose. Why would a man be judged by a God who has overseen Tsunamis, untold wars, earthquakes, and not lifted a finger ?
Be kind, be thoughtful, be nice, be considerate to your fellow men. Do good deeds from the heart, not from the want of attention or personal gain, and do unto others as you would have done to yourself.
All these things are common sense, you have no need of a written word or a God to show you the way to lead a satisfactory life, we all know when we have done wrong
Do not waste your time being afraid of a mythical being that you cannot see, cannot touch, cannot speak to, to discuss why it was that your loved one had to die in a distant war somewhere, or why it is that babies are born crippled for life in his name.
Have no fear of dying. The only person you have to answer to is yourself, and what you failed to do in life, you certainly will not put right in death.
BOOK OF ATHEISM VERSE 1, CHAPTER 1.
.
Bwahaaahaah what hogwash
.
Then I suppose you can kill yourself as you have no purpose left. Additionally billions of others should do the same and stop using up resources when they have no purpose.
Lastly since our sun will die, there is really no purpose to reproduction as the end is already determined by fate that we are a doomed species.
.
You have no hope, all you can look forward to is growing old, getting sick, seeing your loved ones dying and then nothing.
.
I on the other hand do have a hope which is extended to all men. You may choose to have no hope but I think most people want a hope and can do things like talk to G-d about everything in life. I think I offer a better deal. I certainly wouldn't choose yours.

I wont be posting anymore. The One True God has caused me or allowed me to see that I shouldn't talk the way that I do. By the "One True God" I mean the God of Elijah Muhammad and Louis Farrakhan, Who is the God of the Bible and Holy Qur'an. I am NOT a Muslim however.
