According to several research studies in the last decade, a total of 225,000 Americans per year have died as a result of their medical treatments:

• 12,000 deaths per year due to unnecessary surgery

• 7000 deaths per year due to medication errors in hospitals

• 20,000 deaths per year due to other errors in hospitals

• 80,000 deaths per year due to infections in hospitals

• 106,000 deaths per year due to negative effects of drugs

If they're admitting to that number of in-patient hospital deaths due to medical mistakes, there's probably twice or three times as many more.
And that doesn't include the millions of routine, everyday medical mistakes made in hospitals that patients don't die from! Like amputating the wrong limb, removing the wrong organ, radiating the wrong part of the body; giving patients the wrong treatment, the wrong medicine, the wrong dose of medicine, etc.,....

What kind of mortality rate should one expect?
Healthy people don't go to the hospital.
