But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.(Isaiah 53:5)

Apparently jesus was sacrificed for our sins, but then god brought him back to life.......so jesus wasn't really sacrificed was he?

I did. It's clean.Harmless. Even kinda funny.
It's a photo of a giant, big as a motorcycle, tobacco pipe constructed from sheet metal. There's fire in the bowl, and the bowl end rests on sawhorses. A man is holding up the stem end, pretending to smoke from it.(the opening at the tip of the stem is a big as the man's head.)
That verse you quoted in your opening post? Gorgeous.
Thank-YOU!
I never heard it before.

Wow, you have never heard that verse. It is the tenant of the Christian faith. It is what the cross and Jesus's coming is all about. Without it, Jesus did not come.

But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.(Isaiah 53:5)

No Christian can ever be healed unless, he knows that the healing was done on the cross.

God Bless.

This is the crux of christianity; the sacrifice. But, not only is the resurrection an impossibility from a medical point of view, the resurrection negates the sacrifice.
Christ's existence, if he existed, therefor was only a loan. It should not be the foundation for centuries of bullshit

The "linchpin" of "christianity", and it's COMPLETELY one hundred (100%) percent immoral. No self-respecting person would EVER agree to these fabricated terms, yet billions worldwide not only gladly agree, they ACTIVELY PURSUE it!!!

The pinnacle of laziness and selfishness, and it tells me EVERYTHING I need to know about this religion.

And why is that? Because its someone else taking the heat for their mistakes. What better way to attract simpletons likes these...let someone else take the heat for them...its perfectly and logically Human. For some humans that is.

Plus there never was a revocation of the law against human sacrifice by the Jewish God...why didnt Jesus revoke that law? Why? Because he wasn't God and as such had no authority to...

If you watch carefully, you will find that a lot of people who slam Christ, His followers, and the message of the Gospel, are those who once followed Him themselves. They indeed were born-again at one point in their life but fell away because of receiving inaccurate teachings.

They were told (basically) that having come to Christ by faith, that they must now earn their way by their works, or perfect obedience.

What some people don't realize, is that while it is important to live a holy life before God "Come out from among them and be ye holy, saith the Lord." and "Be ye holy for I am holy." it is not our works that keep us before God, it is our faith!

Salvation is retained as it is received - by faith! Going to church isn't what saved us, nor did giving money or doing other good deeds. It came by faith and faith alone! God will certainly be able to use us more if we walk in His ways, but it is faith that brought us salvation and faith alone that will keep us.

The problem arises when we look to our good works to keep us before Christ, rather than our faith, which is what brought us in - in the first place!
