What is wrong with these people?

They stand out in the street holding banners that read:Baby killer, fag,God hates America.

Beliver or not, what's that have to do with God?

That boy served his Country with honor and gave his life in the line of duty.

They should be ashamed to call themselves Christians and Americans.

N2shit@karate tried to get the following anti-Phelps clan UK documentary taken down. I don't know why anyone would defend the Westboro clan.

Dive in at 3m30s for a laugh at their expense.

I'm not the one that has the book of Fairy Tales, called the Bible in his/her hands, while talking Nonsense and making an ass of himself/herself.

Nothing wrong with being anti-xtian when the xtian/s ain't liv'n up to their own rules. A thing called hypocrisy, and no sector of humanity does that better than the hyper-religious.

And most sane xtians are aware that most of the criticism that Xtian-dom receives is warranted - and it's simply difficult to live with for so many of the deluded xtians...

No, they are a minority just like you are. Loud and annoying, but a small minority.

Wonder how sane people got in the minority? Could it be after 2,000 years of brainwashing and execution for non believers and now the big business of Xianity, superstition could get a stranglehold on ignorant people?

Take the brainwashing of defenseless children away and the silliness of religion would wither away. We no longer need artificial courage in the dark.

Wait a minute! I may just be passing through, here, but I want to leave you guys with a few thoughts of my own. Real Christians are not haters of women who abort their babies, and shouldn't be haters of people who are gay, neither. Also, God does not hate America. Real Christians, as I understand the Bible, ought to be against things that God is against, but love people. God loves people. God does not love sin. "We've all sinned, and fallen short of the glory of God." That's why Jesus Christ came to pay the price for our sin. When we accept His gift of salvation, there's a change that comes over the person--we no longer wish to sin--but rather to please God. Nothing wrong with that!
But about these people from the Westboro Church! Sometime back, we had some mining accidents here at a local mine. Some people were killed. This church wanted to come and "protest" our dead miners, saying that "they died in the mines as a result of the world's sin," as I remember it. Our sheriff encouraged them to not show up, because he couldn't promise to be able to protect them. I don't recall seeing them, let alone them making a big issue out of our dead miners. It is downright cold and disrespectful to not permit people to mourn for the loss of their loved ones by cold-heartedly protesting at funerals. That is an outrage that these people do this! For me, I don't believe this is a Christian-like characteristic. I believe the Westboro Church should stay out of other people's personal affairs and mind their own and worry about their own issues first, before worrying about others' issues. Protesting at funerals is going a bit far, when it comes to not respecting the rights of others to properly grieve.
The Book of Matthew says, "And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? And how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and behold, a beam is in thine own eye?(The Bible says) Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."
In other words, we've got enough to do to keep our own selves on the right path without judging other people and condemning them to Hell. If we feel others need to be better in line with God's word, I believe there's better ways to do so than to protest funerals of people with grieving loved ones. It's hard enough as it is!
I do believe God sends us, sometimes, to talk with people and tell them a word from God about their strayings and sins, when in fact God gives us that word to go and to do so. Somehow, I feel that these Westboro people are going a bit far! God help them to make the right decisions, because people ought not to be made to feel that God hates them, but to be made to hear that God loves them. God would rather forgive sin than punish sin. All people have to do is to ask for forgiveness. I'd much rather see the Westboro Church stay away from funerals. If they love people, I'd like to see them love grieving people enough to let them grieve, or to write to a local paper and say, "We love you and we are praying for you." God will judge in His way, in His time. He alone is capable and worthy to judge the hearts of men.
I hope I haven't offended anyone, and I've respresented Jesus in a correct way that will plese Jesus, here. God knows my heart!
Yes! Jesus is coming, and we need to tell people it's time to turn to God! It's also high time that we, as Christians, need to awake out of our sleep and get back to where we need to be with God. The unsaved need evangelized, but the Christians, including me, need revival. It's a daily thing, but living in faith in the crucified one, Jesus Christ.
To all of you who have cared to read to this point, please don't think that this is how all people who say they are Christisans react. It just isn't so! We want to obey the Lord, but the Lord wants us to love and to encourage, mostly.

It is not the killing that Westboro is protesting. I thought everyone knew that.
